I like the head shots.

We have 16 on the roster ready to go to war in 2025 with 2 of the top 5 in the world recovering from their Achilles heel injuries.

We know now who replaced Megan Skaggs:

There is no student assistant coach. This is no surprise as Trinity Thomas is/was irreplaceable.

Will Gomez has replaced Shea Wheeler as a Manager:

I'm sure there is a story as to why Selena Harris is now listed as Selena Harris-Miranda. I don't know the story, but I'm sure there is one.

Anya Pilgrim

Pilgrim is a CGN staff favorite for a reason – picture perfect gymnastics on all four events. Even while competing with the likes of Leanne Wong and Sloane Blakely, she proved herself as one of Florida’s top all-arounders. She put up a massive 39.675 against Kentucky and notched at least one 9.9+ in every regular season meet. Amidst a packed troupe of Gator all-arounders, she competed on all four events in all but one meet. She put up 31 scores of 9.9 or higher, helping to ease the loss of Trinity Thomas and Kayla DiCello. She earned a perfect 10 on floor against Kentucky and was nearly perfect on bars and beam.

• Competed at least two events in every meet.
• Collegiate all-around debut at Ameritas Master’s Classic shared third with Anya Pilgrim at 39.45. Eighth highest total for a Gator making all-around debut
• Set collegiate all-around (39.50) and bars (9.90) best in NCAA Regional Second Round. Equaled bars best in NCAA Team Final.
• Gator Gymnastics’ Most Consistent after hitting all 40 routines in 2024.

UF has zero commitments from the class of 2026 to date. CJR usually keeps 18+- ship gymnasts on the roster. I hope UF attracts 3 to 4 outstanding gymnasts between now and the November signing day. So far, UF is 0-4 on visits missing out on 5-star Hezley Rivera when she chose LSU over OU and UF.

Speaking of Oklahoma, they have 6 committed gymnasts in the 2026 class, one 5 stars and five 4 stars.

Raeya Linton has visited Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland, Stanford, and Florida.

Raeya missed 5 stars by 2 points due to getting lower scores on bars. She is 5 stars on 3 events. CGN has Linton as a gymnast to watch:

Why she’s one to watch: Linton came so close to five stars, coming in just two points shy with 76. This is due almost entirely to bars, where she had just 11 event points while vault, beam, and floor were all 20 points or higher, with beam reaching a near-perfect 23 out of 25. If she can improve bars even just the slightest bit over the next two seasons, she’ll be primed not just for five stars but for a successful college career.

Raeya has a rare disorder: Congenital generalized lipodystrophy, sometimes referred to as Berardinelli-Seip syndrome, is an uncommon lipodystrophy variant with significant and sometimes near-total fat loss. It has autosomal recessive inheritance and patients present with findings at birth or in early infancy.

Presley Duke, the #1 ranked gymnast according to College Gym News, is rumored to be planning a visit with UF:

Presley Duke is from Dynamo in Oklahoma, but if the sooners are filled up, OU might be off the table. She has visited Oklahoma, LSU, and Alabama. So far, no commitment, but her decision isn't likely far off with that type of visit list. Hope she does give UF a look. I can't imagine OU wouldn't find a way to bring her in if that's what she decides. How do you say no to the #1 ranked gymnast even if you do have 6 commitments already.

EDIT: OU couldn't say no to #1 recruit Presley Duke. On 10/7, Presley became the sooner's 7th commit in the class of 2026. It's unbelievable how much space OU had in this class.

Keep in mind, gymnastics isn't like football. Gymnasts can take as many visits as they want. However, most gymnasts make their decisions and sign in November. Gymnastics signing period:

For NCAA D1 and D2 women’s gymnastics, the recruiting period starts on November 13, 2024 and ends on August 1, 2025.

Insofar as other schools are concerned:

I'm fairly certain Oklahoma has maxed out on the number of gymnasts they can bring in for the 2026 class. The sooners have 6 commitments.

LSU has 3 commitments, but it seems they find ways to bring in more gymnasts than you think they can.

Alabama has 2 commitments. The tide is also bringing in 2025 5-star gymnast Azarya Ra-Akbar.

Georgia has 2 commitments. The poodles are also bringing in 2025 4-star gymnast Kelise Woolford.

Michigan has 2 commitments.

UCLA has 2 commitments.

So far California, Florida, Michigan State, Stanford, and Utah do not have any commitments.

EDIT: California obtained commitments from a 5 star and two 4-star gymnasts. Utah picked up a 4-star commitment.

Dulcy Caylor, a senior elite from World Champions Centre, has committed to a full scholarship offer at Florida. She's a member of the class of 2026. In 2024, she qualified for the Olympic Trials after placing 14th AA at the Xfinity US Championships. In 2023, she finished 20th AA at the Xfinity US Championships.

Kieryn Finnell, a senior elite 5-star gymnast from RGA, has committed to a full scholarship offer at Florida, starting in 2026-2027. She had previously visited Michigan and Stanford. This past season, in her first season as a senior, she tied for 19th AA at the Xfinity US Championships. In 2023, as a junior, she placed 2nd in the AA and on BB, 3rd on UB, 6th on FX and 7th(t) at the Xfinity US Championships.

Presuming UF didn't secure commitments from Jaela Hang and Raeya Linton, the next big recruiting weekend will likely be 10/19 when UK comes to town.

 

Anybody but Oklahoma, but the Sooners have the #1 ranked class. They have two 5-star gymnasts ranked #1 and #3 plus five 4-star gymnasts. I don't know how they are going to make room for 7 new gymnasts, but I'm going to look at their 2027 season roster on College Gym News.

Simone visited UF on 9/13, UCLA on 9/27, and Arkansas on 10/4. Apparently, she has seen enough to make her decision.

"Senior National Team member Simone Rose, a senior elite from Pacific Reigh, has committed to a full scholarship offer at Florida. She graduates in 2026. She also visited Arkansas and UCLA. In 2024, she qualified for the Oympic Trials after placing 12th AA and 8th(t) on UB at the XFinity US Championships. As a junior, she also placed 5th AA, 3rd on VT and 4th on BB at the 2023 XFinity US Championships. She also won the AA and FX in leading the US to a win at the Combs La Ville International Tournament."

Simone Rose is the third commit in UF's 2026 class, two 5-star gymnasts ranked #8 and #10 plus Simone who is a 4-star gymnast ranked #15.

From UF's 10/4 visits last weekend, #2 ranked Jayla Hang is visiting UCLA while #13 ranked Raeya Linton is not showing a visit this weekend. Hang is on her third visit, so she is still looking around. Linton has taken 5 visits and could take more if she wants to. I've had a good feeling about Linton this week. I'm a bit surprised she didn't commit.

The 2026 class is shaping up nicely. I hope UF takes several more commitments.
