Honestly, this fact pretty much disqualifies any conspiracy theory outside of Trump setting it up himself somehow or maybe local LEO's.

There's no way on earth this kid is who they would have picked, nor the event. Too much open space. Too easy to defend. To me it says either someone at the local law enforcement level did it or it was setup by Trump. If this was a deep state job or done by a foreign actor, it would have been a professional hit and the job would have been done. If not, it would have been due to the overwhelming heroics that the Secret Service, FBI, Spec Ops etc are actually capable of.
