This season is 3 games in and I already wish it was 2025. So let's dream a bit. It is 2025 and BN is long gone, we are at the mid season point, and we have a new big time HBC. What is our record going into the Georgia game and do you believe with someone like Kibben(or fill in the blank) could come in and immediately have us vying for chance at a playoff spot year 1? I think it would still take a massive overhaul of talent, because this schedule is still brutal. And in a nightmare world, could you imagine BN some how getting to 5 wins this year, staying hired some how, and we have to play this schedule again. You have him as your damn avatar and still can't spell his name correctly?!?! It's KIFFIN. And no ... I do not believe Kiffin or anyone else will have us in playoff contention in 2025. Our program is a mess. I do not see the next guy keeping any of our current coaches, I think he'll blow up the $5m team of non-coaching analysts, and have to completely rebuild the roster. We'd be lucky to be in the top 10 in the SEC in '25. Napier has established a new low for Gator football. This mess will take a few years to fix.
It baffles me how people can see the correct spelling 500 times on this board and still spell names wrong. They'll even quote posts with the correct spelling... Anyway, the answer to this question really comes down to the net effect of the portal. Hopefully a good coach can get us to "decent" in year one and fill the gaps in the roster from there.
It's that Strickland guy that I feel sorry for. He must be so confused. He doesn't even work for us, but hundreds of gator fans are on the internet demanding that he be fired.
