Funny game. You can’t compete if you don’t have the big money, but simply spending the most still guarantees nothing.

Goes to show you how important a good HC is. There aren't a lot of them out there

Look at how Sark (NOT SHARK) has rehabilitated himself.

modern scheduling makes things a little different and expansion with a 12 team playoff.
But historically why was it so hard for Arkansas and ole miss in the west to sustain excellence year after year -- its because every year, you had to play bama, lsu and auburn. That is a brutal stretch, even if Auburn sucks, playing at Jordan Haire is a tough place to play. Now ole miss doesn't play those 3 annually, makes things somewhat easier, but now they have Georgia on their schedule for 2 years along with Oklahoma, along with us. So if we were worth a crap, that's a tough schedule.

I still think top coaches want to be a the top jobs -- resources, money, and talent -- all these jobs have access to that, but maybe notre damn

That’s the point. Taggart is a total clown but the Oregon job is so good it made people think he was good.

    Sark, not Shark, right? :D

..and good ones don’t grow on trees either. It’s always a roll of the dice. UF has come up snake eyes on the last 4, doesn’t mean the next one will too.

Oklahoma should be on the list as well.
23 coaches total in their history and only 7 since 1973. 4 coaches coached over 100 games.

    only 3 coaches since 1999.

Why mess around with a Chucky doll when you can have the real thing roaming the sidelines.

I never said a word... I just posted his tweet. I think it's entertaining how many coaches are coming out of the woodwork these days... coincidence?

The five best ‘Schools’ are the five with the best NIL set ups. History, tradition, proximity to recruits are all now of secondary concern. People talk about Kiffin to Florida… He knows what the Ole’ Miss NIL is like. If Florida can do better, then it is a better job. If it cannot, those trophies it has in the case can collect dust.

If you’re the dominant team in the state, you’re going to get the lionshare of top recruits. Not to mention Florida’s talent pool is more than enough to feed three Top 25 programs.

If you lock down the state’s top talent, you’re going to win a national championship at UF. This makes us one of the two best gigs in the SEC. You just need a coach who can extract the recruits. Kiffin loves to recruit.
