I am in disbelief. Napier had an army of people and no one was coaching.

they even had the nerve to ask Harris to leave!

Napier needed to be fired yesterday!

I stand with Steven Harris. He played here and knows what it takes. Napier played at a 1-AA school and his philosophy is geared towards D3.

    This is the SEC.

It's amazing how so many people with different levels of knowledge about football see the same thing when it comes to the team. Whether it's Harris, people who post here or my next door neighbor who has a casual interest, at best, in the Gators. She's actually an Indiana University fan. My neighbor commented to me today that she couldn't believe how uninspired the Gators seem to play. Her take was that the players look like they are just not into playing; no energy or intensity. Then she said Napier looks the same in regards to his coaching.

Not sure why this is surprising, it takes effort, or lack there of, to be as bad as UF has been with the talent they have.

Also, Harris talked about this visit before the season with Hightop Sports and apparently forgot about all these things at the time. Apparently Napier being all but fired jogged his memory.

    Edit: looked it up https://www.youtube.com/live/Y13JY4KDV0E?si=aPNCOnSiRToirBDT

You would think former players and coaches would talk and these kind of stuff would reach stricklin

stricklin should be fired day before yesterday

So why the heck were writers hyping up the Gators so much during the off-season saying that “they were going to surprise some people”. What were they watching? Staged practices?

Oh, they surprised me alright! Just not in a positive way

I don’t think any media have access to the real meat and potatoes of daily practice. They get a what, 10 or 15 minute window of time? Maybe qb’s and receivers going against air? Even Shane Matthew’s says he was fooled, that the whole team looked improved. Maybe the strength and conditioning made the team look more formidable, but in a game “they look like Tarzan but still play like Jane”.

So following the process is more important than the result. Incredible.

I've read that at half during the Miami game.
Brandon Spikes was getting on to the Def about lack of effort and Billy told him to tone it down.

Serious question: how is this not ‘cause’ to terminate employment? At the very least reduce buyout.

If we lose in Starkville Saturday I may have to come down there and do the job myself. Probably won't get very far though.
