AA and BN certainly didn't adjust during the KY game. They came in with a plan to defend the pass and let them run roughshod over us for an entire half before they made a single adjustment and by then the game was over.
Sorry if it was mentioned here or another thread -- but someone brought up the 4 game redshirt rule as well, and the concern of firing him before players play in up to 4 games -- which actually puts us the week after the ucf game, our 5th game. fire him this or after next week, in theory kids could opt out and not play to preserve the redshirt season etc.
2 BITS, Right? 4 BITS, Right? 6 BITS, you know what I mean? A DOLLAR. We will evaluate that dollar like everything else. Hey, where'd everybody go?
These were poorly planned blitzes.....up the middle against a very mobile QB who just tucked it and ran around the end for a big gain. Newsflash to Roberts, why don't you see if he can complete passes from the pocket first before you go crazy with blitzes and have him beat you with his legs? I could already have told him that the ATM QB could run like a deer, but could he be an efficient pocket passer?....I dunno.
First, 3-1 is generally in line with Zooks career win % at UF. Napier against P5 is 7-16. His expected outcome in the same situation would be 1-3. So, there is the first reason he should go. Second, the players and program are languishing under a lame duck that has nothing but negativity attached to him. Remove that negativity and start try to build to the future or present a plan on a way foward. It's like we are letting a cancerous tumor grow rather than cut it out and start the healing process. Third, we might just learn some of these staff members can actually do some things well given freedom or new direction. Fourth, make a statement that the crap performance we are seeing will not be tolerated. Fifth, the fans want him gone, make the fans happy.
Probably because they practiced for the starting QB (Wegman?). And seeing as how once the game plan is in, and it doesn't change... well...
Wasn't fuchs the one who hired him in the first place? That would make it seem like he didn't do a very good job back in the day as well.
Yes but I turned it down since it involved having sex with old ladies for money, or bear traps. Those are my two bugaboos.
They will know the job is open. The exact date the job opens may not be clear, but it will certainly be before the candidate we are pursuing is available, unless he himself is unemployed.
Chris McClellan grades as Missouri's best defender. Trevor Etienne grades as Georgia's best skill position player. Antwaun Powell-Ryland grades as Virginia Tech's best defender. Princely Umanmielen grades as the 4th best edge defender in all of college football. A lot of talent has left Gainesville.
Agree. It's not going to prove anything even if he wins 3/4 more games. 28 games is enough to see what he really is. Most gators wanted him to succeed. It's just not going to happen. He's a dead man walking. Players won’t listen to him as much as they used to like it was in the beginning of the season. Some of them even agree that he should be let go.
Was just watching Josh Pate and recall his being so impressed with his time on campus saying the atmosphere is so different. He seemed extremely confident.
Oh he doubled down on it I think just this week. He has become the most extreme example of a glad handing mouthpiece. Use to respect his opinion.
