Good thing the wife and I spent $168 at the union bookstore on Gator tees last Thursday, cuz it will be a minute before I break out the credit card again for O&B stuff. Just doesn’t feel like it did in years (decades?) past.
Oh, I still care. I just won’t be surprised or pissed or throwing stuff at the cat. Don’t worry, statute of limitations has run out on the last time I threw stuff at a cat.
I know we will need to cut the cord, but it would be interesting if Napier stayed on as director of player personnel since he is a good recruiter and has a knack being a good father figure and we will be paying him anyway.
With the status of our program the last several years, being in the top twenty is a miracle. Lagway is a miracle and hopefully sticks with us.
Some of you all don't get it and this is exactly why a guy like Kiffin would come here at a fair market rate. Florida will always get recruits no matter who our HBC is. Our resources, NIL, facilities, tradition, campus, etc etc etc will always pull recruits. Couple that with being situated in the middle of a state that produces 40% of the NFL talent in the country. ANYBODY can recruit decently at UF with minimal effort. But if you want to compete with Georgia, Texas and Alabama, you had better be a damn good recruiter and I'm sorry, but Billy Napier has never been a damn good recruiter. Mullen was better and Mullen hated recruiting. We don't need Napier for recruiting and I doubt he did much positive for us in that direction. His classes routinely ranked below Mullen's and that's not a very high bar to clear. And this is why Lane Kiffin would jump at the opportunity, because Lane Kiffin loves to recruit and he'd have UF in the Top 3 of classes each and every year, if not #1. He cannot do that at Ole Miss!!
He's the life guru, the teams chakras are alinged. Just need to keep putting out positive enegy into the universe and karma will reward the team with victories. He also is going to hire a crystals quality coach and horoscope analyst.
Because the metrics used to estimate these things say we have talent. They are just that poorly coached.
Eh, that part of this slump is better now imho. You don't see a lot of bandwagon Gators rocking gear these days.
Wouldn't it be nice to see what the team looks like without BN? Maybe you find out there are things we can do well when not tied to Napier offense/playcalling. Maybe we see some leadership fill the void. We don't know. What we do know is what this team looks like with BN on the sideline and no wants to see it anymore. I don't understand the fear of the unkown when we literally have nothing to lose. Nothing.
In reference to #3, Armstrong at least would try anything. It may not have worked but he wasn't afraid to throw the kitchen sink at it. Roberts is back to passive death by 1000 cuts defense, absolutely hate it.
Mullen and now this staff has made you believe that. It's bullshit, just like everything else he says. Any coach worth a damn could step in and achieve the same results.
