I seriously doubt Jesse is butthurt over that. He's not that petty. What he was doing was to describe how Mertz was feeling when the fans wanted Lagway to play. He was saying, "Mertz may be thinking 'I don't dare throw an INT or have a 3 and out because the pressure to play my backup is intense.'" Palmer felt the same way with Grossman, and said, "This guy would be a Heisman runnerup the following year and be a 1st round draft pick in the NFL." Jess KNEW how good Grossman was, and felt the pressure. He didn't feel maligned about it.
