Also Dan Dale, fact checker had the felon at 33 lies to Harris 1. No wonder the Cons are crying foul. ABC stated before the debate that they'd fact check but nobody explained (in small words) to the Cons what facts actually are. They're simply now to far removed from them. Telling that the Cons don't dispute the lies, just that they were called out on them. Pity the moderators that were having to quickly sort out only the most egregious during the debate.
Not only did they do the faux fact checking, but Muir actually began sparring with Trump over his personal interpretation of his comment to Lex Fridman about losing the election. Literally arguing with one of the candidates about his personal interpretation of a quote they made. Not sure how this is allowed in America, but GOP have to stand up on this, because it's not going to stop in 2028 when DeSantis, Haley or Vance is up there. They'll treat whomever is on the GOP ticket with the same hostility.
Maybe the GOP will put forth a candidate that isn't a serial liar....that would seem to be the optimal path to preventing this "problem"
The presidential debate format as we have known it, is likely dead. Nobody feels they got nearly enough from either candidate last night and the recent cycles have shown "who won the debate" doesn't translate to the polling booth. It's a broken model due to the corrupt media and DNC.
Well it is good Muir made him clarify it, because many people including some of his extreme base have interpreted that he had changed his tune. And I have no idea what to make of this So much for freedom of speech. Are you proposing that debate moderators be prosecuted if they ask uncomfortable questions?
