So you post a bunch of bogus tweets, get called on it. And rather than apologize or even acknowledge that what you posted was false, you just go with 'yeah, well here's something else from twitter'?
I don't know how anyone can deny that 20,000 people with (I assume) meager resources moving to a town of 60,000 people (metro area twice that) has to have a significant impact. Certainly not all of it bad, as noted by the employer quoted earlier. And maybe some new, interesting food? But, as you said, some resources are inevitably going to be stretched thin.
Instead of making terrible political jokes, Why don't YOU listen to the testimony of these actual Springfield, Ohio residents and local news-reporters ^ I don't know why this video-editor wants to mention IQ at the end. But, how did this migrant buy a vehicle with what money? How did they pass their driving liscense when they do not speak english?.. The Haitan migrant who wrecklessly drove on the wrong side of the road & caused a school bus to overturn with 52 very young, elementary school kids resulting in 23 children requiring hospitilization and ultimately one child dying from their injuries pleads not guilty! Wow! These migrants who are continuously breaking US laws do not take any accountability for their actions. ^It was the 2nd & 3rd persons in this clip who had 'testified' that animals were being killed and eaten. Who knows... ^ The first lady talks about these migrants 'squating' on her property and inimidating everyone in their household. The ABC's Presdiential debate "moderators" (David Muir and Linsey Davis) who had supposedly fact-checked Trump's statements should be ashamed for not also fact-checking Kamal Harris in her outrageous claims. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris was never fact-checked once while Trump was 'fact-checked' 5-7 times. It seemed like that the ABC moderator, Muir, was also debating Donald Trump along with K. Harris while Muir's side-kick (& who knows how many else on the ABC staff) was scouring the internet 'to verify' Trump's statements. Most of the American public realized that it was 3+ vs 1 in this debate. In the Presidential debate, Trump did not properly present the real hardships caused by millions of illegal immigrants being placed in towns all across the USA. Maybe you are not affected by their presence, but many are facing real hardship based on these two news clips which the main stream media outlets like ABC -"News" had decided NOT to bring to our attention!
The issue of being a boom town are problems, for sure. But it's better than the problems you get from losing residents, which Springfield has been losing about 1,000 residents a year for the past decade. Boom issues are much easier to solve.
I think it covers pets eaten by immigrants. Coverage for household dogs and cats The #1 customer-rated pet insurance* is now a Chubb company.
Everyone who has ever lived (except The moderators) knows Trump is the greatest president who has ever lived, so why do you admit he lied repeatedly last night? I mean, it’s kind of pouty childish to cry “She lied, too!”, especially since you didn’t point out her lies. Trump underscored his narcissism and mental illness again last night. He’s a sociopath and shouldn’t be anywhere near the levers of power.
The batshit crazy claim was that migrants are going around eating household pets, sorry but as tragic as a school bus fatality is - that has literally nothing to do with batshit crazy Trump. At least eating ducks is credible. There’s no evidence even of that, but let’s entertain this. Do you think eating ducks is crazy? You can literally buy duck at Publix (I think they only have it in frozen form). So barring some local ordinance on duck hunting or the method in taking the duck, it seems a weird thing to peddle fear porn over. I don’t doubt there are an array of issues from that ratio of new people showing up in a dying town. But i suspect a decaying, population losing town like this already had major issues with opioids and homeless crime. The immigrant influx could take 5 or 10 years to shake out as people build permanent lives there. Not sure Daily Caller cherry-picking some city hall complaints is trustworthy given Daily Caller’s background. Secondly, almost all those speakers came off as somewhat sketchy to me. Are we sure those are actually “concerned citizens” as opposed to anti-immigrant political activists… even local ones? This could all be part of the right wing hoax, which makes sense with multiple alt-right outlets trying to peddle this story on the pets.
Wasn’t the old urban legend that there were tons of dog and cat collars outside of Asian restaurants. Maga stupidity isn’t even original.
I don't know what is funnier, Trump's dog eating comments or those that are defending it. It's like he's told people to pull their pants down and walk down main street....and they are happily doing it.
No, sorry. The approximately 10 million undocumented immigrants in the USA comprise a labor force that the country needs, and both sides of the political body have collectively decided to allow, but not to adequately document. So your employing the tired old anecdotal "look, an immigrant did something wrong!" is, well, just tired. You disagree? Point out what Trump did, or even proposed, to regulate and document this needed labor force. Right - he did NOTHING. Besides babble out racist tropes and lies. This garbage about eating pets is just the latest. So until your chosen political leaders put forth an actual PLAN to regulate and document this labor force.....they'll be considered nothing more than the racist dividers that they are, using racist lies to scare up votes. That you are choosing to do so as well solely reflects upon you, NOT upon your chosen leadership as doing anything at all different or better than their opposition.
All well and good, but don’t you think it is incredibly reckless for both the VP and Presidential candidate to broadcast that immigrants are eating our pets?!?!? These are supposed to be the face of our country’s leadership, the icon of credibility. And to make that kind of claim has the very real propensity to invite serious violence in “retaliation” to the immigrants (or people of color just mistaken for Haitians). At least in my opinion, there is a proper way to discuss issues and there is a reckless way. What the Republican Party did through tweets and Trump’s debate claims is far across the reckless line.
