I was in the upper North Endzone and everything but there was pretty much full. If I had to guess, probably 75-80K in the seats before halftime. East and West stands were full.
You didn't look real close. Sat with the Samford folks there were a few hundred. Be close to 1000. Not huge turn out, but some people. Stadium was pretty full.
East (minus visiting section in southeast corner) and west stands were pretty full, lower endzones north and south were full South endzone upper was fairly populated. North endzone sunshine seats were close to empty. I'd say the stadium cleared 80k but not by much Again, all things considered from the disaster the week before, to playing an FCS team, it was a good crowd
Probably weren't any around if you were not behind the SU bench. I'm a Samford alum that grew up a life long Gator. I'm sure all the fans bought there tickets through the Samford athletic department and they didn't sell more than the visitor allotment behind the bench. I caught a bunch of crap from my Samford buddies for wearing a Gator shirt. Oh well!
