Mighty West Georgia scored 14 points against Samford last week. In the 1st quarter.

 

wow. 14-0. DJ looks like the real deal but man is the lack of coaching or playcalling so evident. So much talent wasted.

 

I do think that they should coach up DJ at halftime and instruct him not to take a heavy hit unless it’s absolutely necessary like a fourth down conversion that is critical. Looks like he’s gonna be too valuable with his arm to get him hurt.

 

His agent will be fielding calls. Top-tier teams will pay big for him.

 

Defensive front got their pressure going late first quarter. Cleaned it up, which you want to see VS this quality of team at least. Get some positive feeling.

Clock management is consistently awful, not just at the end of the half. How many times have we taken a TO or delay following a change of possession or TV stoppage?

 

One observation. Tackling is a lot better.
Second observation. Lagway has an arm and is accurate.
Defense started playing better. Play calling….meh.

 

Mullen gave up 52 to Samford.

 

Play calling is so bad. And don’t get me started on our delayed handoff runs that take forever to develop. It’s just a bad offense.
Wilson gets 1 touch the entire first half? 1? Come on.
