I just hope we’re not shopping in the retirement home. I’ll try my best to support them either way though.

To say the least. But, of course, you need to score if you're going to try and outscore everyone and play a high line. . . as we saw last week.

Beyond the actual logistics of defining a value to "outright worship," fans are less educated than the AD. Between the Democratic Peoples Republic of UF Football and Scott Stricklin, I would take Stricklin, and I had to choke down some vomit saying that.

How is it a pipe dream? We're already past halfway there. Only difference is we don't have binding contracts between player and team. Get that and we can talk about transfer fees. And what's to stop UF from building a football academy, recruiting kids young and creating a pipeline to the varsity team? You're just hung up on the whole "soccer" thing.

I suggest we do things the way Georgia is doing it. Their football seems to be doing things quite well these days.

Our administration has become misguided with the way they focus on academics and not football.

At least that would keep UGAG and others from having 100 five star players.

It isn't just Stricklin calling all of the shots. Our Athletic Directors consult with many people, including powerful boosters.

Said boosters just happened to have insisted that Steve Spurrier be hired in 1990.

I didn't read all five pages of this thread, but did anyone bring up the fact that we probably don't have the NIL funding to attract a top tier coach? Your top coaches are not going to take a job at a program that doesn't give them everything they need to recruit at a high level.

I'm sorry, but, I disagree entirely. Admin guys should take a back seat to ANYONE when it comes to selecting coaches. Give me Hating Ass Kiffin!

OK, so if the gator republic has chosen Kiffen, who negotiates the contract? Is the negotiator allowed to decline Kiffen's demand or must he sign the elected coach regardless, even if he asks for 50mil a year?

This structure already exists. Napier just sucks at it

We already have a million employees on our football team. There are already people responsible for recruiting and roster assembly.

The head coach is already the CEO

The key for a good CEO is hiring the setting a vision, right people, setting up the right reporting lines, delegating, and getting out of the way.

    Napier just sucks at it
