Even more ghastly is DeBoer also inherited a mess and in one season took Washington to 11-2 and then a shot at the CFP title game the next year. He was hired at the same time as Napier and Cristobal.

Ouch! I forgot about the seven years. Thought he was done in '25. My bad. How about we just ask Napier to resign and test his "character" since he's a high character guy. /s If that doesn't work, I still think letting people know the job will be available at the end of this year or the next gives us more time to find a replacement.

As one who has played some ball, it is the performance of fundamentals, focus, discipline and attention to detail (avoidance of stupid mistakes)which signify a well coached team. Billy does not have the skill set to coach in the SEC. His offensive playbook is bland, uninspired and predictable. He is consistently "outcoached" , his teams are unprepared and undisciplined , and he makes no game-time adjustments. I predicted that he would win 4 this year, when most in this forum were proclaiming 8. Stricklin as well as Billy need to move on. My recommendation is to approach Gus Malzahn now. He has coached in the SEC and i am certain that he would love to rejoin the league.

And Notre Dame's head coach is in his third year as a head coach, started a team with an offensive line that had only six total starts and beat Texas A&M in their own house.

even when we blitz our guys typically just run straight into a blocker and get picked up. We rarely get anyone with a free or mostly free run at the QB on a blitz, it's kind of amazing considering how often we send extra guys (and then on one of the very few successful pressures we did get yesterday DJ Douglas decided to rough the QB)

Part of character is holding people to their own word. The contract was perfectly legal, with proper consideration given. Stricklin knew he was buying self protection. Napier, for all of his failure, is owed what the contract stipulates.

    Get him gone now.

Those blitzes probably get home in practice. Whats the old saying, puddy softens puddy?

We can start a GoFundMe campaign to assist with the buyout. Let’s all contribute $100.

We blitz from 20 yards away. It can only work in ultra slow developing pass plays

I do think things have changed, yesterday was a huge dose of reality. We've gone from close losses to not even being competitive. Yesterday was total domination, heck if Mario didn't like BN, he could have hung two more TD's easily.

Remember when Bill Snyder came out of retirement to stabilize the Kansas State program? He was in his 80's I think, but he had built the program into respectability, then retired and his successors led the program to obscurity. They hired Snyder back and he brought it back until they could find a decent replacement. Maybe SOS would do the same for his beloved Gators!!

Which is why it seems to work when practicing it against our offense

I used to think hiring a top notch OC was a big part of the ans. No more! Pretty sure BN would not let that get in the way of failure. too late anyway

Let SOS enjoys his retirement. Urban on the hand, may still have good 5 to 10 years left in coaching if he still wants to.
