I think most fans have been pretty patient. 2 losing seasons in a row and you come out with this at home to a sell out crowd against an instate rival. Lol, patience.
Item One, take a good look at the Miami Football Program. They are good but they are not a shoe in for the national championship team. However, they are at this time a contender. At this time, UF is now a was want a be contender. Item two, the Gators got creamed in most of the game stats and on the line of scrimmage. Item three, the game management as usual was questionable. I in the 2nd quarter (after a Miami score) was someting you see in a JV highschool game. Having to take a time out after receiving a kickoff is more than just a F*& UP. Item Four, one third down conversion out of nine. My statement on this is WTF!!!. The lack of improvementon the offensive and defensive lines is more than disappointing.
Our next Coach lives in Florida and is currently not coaching Urban Meyer He is 60, he is only 3 years older than when Saban took the job at Bama It would be a fitting end to Urban's career to right the wrongs made at Florida and build it back to national power, and leave it in good hands. I personally believe it is the only coaching job he would consider, and there is a good chance he would take it if offered. The QB is already in place
Deeper than the coaching issues is the problem on the line of scrimmage. Defensively Florida looked completely overmatched up front. Miami lined up and ran just straight Duo right at them with no answer. #21 does not need to play another down at UF as far as I am concerned. Florida needs to get back to recruiting legitimate defensive line talent, and backs who can make something happen. Offensively have a Big 10 scheme with Florida talent, it does not work, and it does not fit what we can and do recruit.
I wasn’t keen previously on Urban Meyer, now I am willing to give any proven winner a try except Jimbo Fisher.
