Hey y'all boys, I'm a bored Canes fan just lurking on your site. I'll answer your questions. These are my opinions based off what I've heard.

On O - Not to sound cocky but I'm really not worried about the offense. One thing Mario can do well is develop offensive linemen. We're replacing our LG and C, who both came in as transfers last year and have made NFL 53s, with another transfer at C (Zach Carpenter)and a recruit at LG (maybe RSSo Matthew McCoy). RB depth is great with Martinez leading the way and Fr Jordan Lyle being a consistent name throughout camp. I wish our receivers as a whole had better speed but they're a pretty good group. We didn't throw to TEs much last year mainly because RSJr TE Elijah Arroyo was out for most of the year; he's back healthy and is actually one of my players to know on offense against you guys. I won't talk too much about Cam Ward, as I'm sure you guys have heard it all lol, but he's a natural leader and has had a great camp. We somehow were top 35 in total yards and scoring with TVD stinking it up last year so I'm very excited to see what it can do with Ward as the signal caller.

On D - The secondary. It's more uncertainty rather than these guys stink. The CB1 spot, 5th YR Sr Darryl Porter, and S/nickel, transfer Mishael Powell, are the only ones I'm sure will perform well. Im unsure of the other boundary corner, nickel, and other S. Soph Damari Brown started in a few games towards the end of last season because of injuries and did pretty well but was inconsistent. Ja'Dais Richard was the same...inconsistent. I think both will start at CB I just don't know where. RSSo Jaden Harris will be the other starting Safety and he has had a good camp. Another name to know funny enough is Freshman CB OJ Frederique, he's been the talk of camp since arriving and took A LOT of reps with the 1s. We finally have solid depth at DE and LB. I worry about the depth at DT after transfers CJ Clark and Simeon Barrow come off the field. Our defensive coordinator loves to blitz so expect a heavy dose on Saturday.

#1 - How will the offense communicate in a hostile environment?
#2 - Can the D find a way to neutralize Tre Wilson?
If we can do both, we win by two scores.

Quite the opposite, they are high on Rospero (or however you spell his name at reciever), they think Cam is a Heisman candidate and they love the running back transfer from Oregon State.

That also was the era where virtually all NC's went through the State of Florida and rivalries that every FL schoolboy blue chipper wanted to be a part of.

I live in G'ville and I can attest that this town is like a pot about to boil over. Gator fans are going to be at the Swamp with their hair on fire. If the Gators play like the fans, that place is going to be crazy!

Maybe I am the only one who thinks these are evenly matched teams and that it is going to be a barn-burner tomorrow. Each has strengths, experience, youth, and question marks. Both coaches have made questionable decisions but have potential. Winning or losing will mean a lot to each team.
Here's hoping that FSU set the table for a Miami loss!

Really gives you an idea of where we need to attack…like our TEs against their LBs/Nickels.

I'm optimistic. If we play like a well-coached team (haven't done that yet) with a solidly executed game plan (AT HOME), we will win. Turnovers could always factor into that assessment, but losing as we've done the past two years with the same excuses will be the beginning of the end for BN, IMO.

I'm still nervous in that UF has yet to play 4 quarters of great football in the past two years. There's far more questions than answers. Will the D be vastly improved? Will the OL be able to pass block efficiently? Do we have sufficient talent especially on the lOS? Can BN inspire and motivate the team for big games?
Is BN too nice of a coach, a players coach who doesn't demand and command excellence at this level of competition SEC. If we can't beat UM at home in a really big game can we really get to 7 wins?
To say this game is huge is a big understatement. We need a win badly!

You beat me to the punch, Bazza. I would say that scUM has the most low class fans in all of college football, but it’s more accurate to say NO class.
