I certainly wish someone had muzzled you and the other serial misinformation spreaders in the Covid thread. The world would have been a better place.
Hey, sparky: How did the Biden administration attempt to influence the 2020 election by suppressing the Hunter laptop story when the Biden administration didn't exist until well after the election, January of 2021.?
Do you remember why the 51 members of the intelligence community felt compelled to write a letter warning that the Hunter Biden laptop story had the hallmarks of a foreign intelligence operation? Because it was being reported in the media because it wasn't censored.
Hey Mr Condecension - where did I say “the Biden Administration”? Ooof! Talk about projection - insert your own words then ridicule what you created. I’ve got a cat that chases her tail too - she’s more entertaining.
Damn straight. Glad those guys hustled in to stamp out the truth with their lie. Good work! Democracy!!!
Yeah, It sucks that I was right about Lockdowns, school closures, natural immunity and masks... I get it, you were a lemming and loved that Walz setup a snitch line to rat out your neighbors.
"serial misinformation spreaders" = anyone speaking differently different than the Democrat Party doctrine. Democrat Party affiliation is the new religion and woe to anyone who departs from the faith.
This is so funny coming from the party that has only one rule - complete loyalty and worship of Trump. If you cross that line, you're a RINO and out of the party regardless of your actual conservative record or principles. Read this and tell me who is the serial misinformation spreader: DocumentCloud
El oh el Trump Threatens Mark Zuckerberg With Prison For ‘The Rest of His Life’ If He Uses Facebook to ‘Cheat’ in 2024: ‘We Are Watching Him Closely’
You are both a generator and defender of misinformation. It is weird and it sucks. You posted this. Did you actually read the referenced letter and 52 U.S.C? If not, please do and report on how your endorsed post accurately or inaccurately frames what transpired.
Did you know that media literacy skills can be learned? I promise you have the potential to differentiate between what was written and how it is used to propagate a narrative. What did the 51 experts actually say? Why is it being spinned into meaning something else. Who benefits. Who is the pawn (hint: it is you)? Here is the actual letter. https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000175-4393-d7aa-af77-579f9b330000
Surely that letter is an AI generated deepfake spoof. Surely no one is dumb enough to pen and/or sign that. Or ..... are there lefties just that ignorant?
I do not need to (re)read the actual letter. There was a race in Moscow during the Cold War - it was a two person race and the American runner won the race beating the Soviet runner. The next day in Pravda ("Truth" in the Soviet religion) the headline says: "Glorious Russian runner wins Silver Medal. American finishes next to last!!!" All true - totally misleading. To your point, our society and the way we consume information is via short, bite sized bits. What occurred after the letter was released? https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/19/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-430276 https://www.wsj.com/podcasts/opinio...-exposed/4e8baf05-447c-419e-80d8-7424827c7b52 As lawyers may say: "it's not what's true...it's what you can prove." The Left is adroit in spinning, like Pravda, the stories to their liking. Read on for another example - During the Obama Administration people complained about the IRS slow playing the applications for 501(c)3 non-profit status from "conservative" sounding groups. Response from the Left? "Hey, hey, hey - the IRS denied Liberal applications as well" Three things: 1. The Left's statement is factually true and totally misleading all at the same time. 2. The Left twisted the issue from "slow playing" an application to "denying" the application outright - two different things. 3. The number of conservative leaning groups were in the hundreds, the number of Liberal leaning applications possibly in the dozens. But don't worry - we believe in science. Men can give birth.
It’s true that media and politicians have twisted facts in the past, but that should be a cautionary tale, not a justification for spreading misinformation today. Instead, it underscores the need for greater rigor and accountability in how we consume and share information. Pointing out past instances of people being misled shouldn’t be used to excuse being misled now. You don’t have to resign yourself to being part of the problem. With just a tiny little bit of effort, you can be part of the solution.
I am. The solution is let the marketplace of ideas flourish. If my idea is worthless so be it - likely will not get much traction even if initially popular. If you think (and I'm not saying you do) that the Biden Administration's attempt to form a "Ministry of Truth" is the way to cure the problem I would say you are totally and completely naive. A government in sole control of the information is a dangerous thing. One of the greatest things (and worst) about the internet is everyone has a voice and access. 100 years ago a dirty politician could bribe a dirty cop and make a mistake "go away" much more easily than today. Today, with cameras, recording, data on where you were and when we have much more access to what happened, where and when than previously. (Case in point: the murder of Ahmaud Arber - recorded by one of the idiots involved). Our challenge is not the information - it's patience and the proper vetting of it. Information wise we have become Veruca Salt "we want it, and we want it NOW!!!" and damn the accuracy.
