Republicans could have easily had the presidency last election and probably this election but they have become the party of Trump. Doubling down on stupid isn't the way to win an election. Ideally while he is rotting in jail the R party will get back to its roots.
All true, and if Trump had shut his mouth a bit and not talked down Covid he wins last time IMHO. Said for 3 plus years wish he would just go away but the ego won’t let him.
Agree, only to add, there is a calculation that he is running for legal immunity. Not sure how the SC ruling protects him without the WH.
If he loses, he registers to run the next day. No way he ends the grifting off his supporters. Hopefully, if he loses again, the republican party will realize he is the cancer the rest of us already see him as, and turn their backs on him. But he will run, and he will still cause trouble in the pub party.
If they'd given us Haley, I'd be out knocking on doors. I suspect McMaster feels the same way. FWIW, I watch him weekly on the Hoover Institution podcast and he (and the rest) really go out of their way not to bash Trump. He was even on last week making the point that Trump's foreign policy wouldn't be "that" bad.
It is past time for trump to retire. Have Nikki Haley run against Kamala. Seriously this won’t end well unless this happens.
Yup. The hundreds of people that served with him or were appointed by him that have come out for Harris are all wrong. For maga, all these people have to be wrong, it can't be trump. The 40 of 44 that served with him? Idiots. The hundreds that served past republican presidents? Idiots. No way it is trump. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4848567-ex-aides-trump-bush-mccain-romney-endorse-harris/
Imagine getting a job interview and you look up the company on Glass Door. And you read 40 out of the 44 reviews from top executives all rate the CEO as unfit. Is that a shitshow you want to sign up for and embrace? Or, do you run the other way? Yet, here we are.
To have that many top people say you are unfit would be a huge red flag to most people. Amazing, really.
For failing to properly worship the orange god and kiss his ass. The modern gop litmus test for party membership in good standing.
Now, FOUR STAR General Larry Ellis has chimed in, among many others. Most are conservatives who don’t agree with Democrat policies, but put country over party. Sadly, members of a cult don’t realize they are, and are thus unfazed by warnings from those with the knowledge and experience to sound the alarm.
You have a weird definition of "freaking clown." Most people would consider McMaster a patriot to whom we are indebted for his service. Herbert Raymond McMaster (born July 24, 1962) is a retired United States Army lieutenant general who served as the 25th United States National Security Advisor from 2017 to 2018. He is also known for his roles in the Gulf War, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
One of Trump's many mistake hires. For someone who professes to hire only the best people, it's amazing how many mistake hires Trump made!
djt wanted South Korea to pay all costs for US troops there, Plus a profit margin.... Trump wanted S. Korea to pay all USFK cost plus 'profit margin': McMaster memoir (msn.com) In the book, titled, "At War with Ourselves: My Tour of Duty in the Trump White House," H.R. McMaster, who served as national security adviser from 2017-18, revealed an anecdote in November 2017, when Trump toured Camp Humphreys, a sprawling USFK base in Pyeongtaek, 60 kilometers south of Seoul. The memoir came amid speculation that should the Republican presidential candidate win the White House for a second term in the Nov. 5 general election, he could employ what is viewed as his "transactional" approach toward alliances. "I am sure Brooks was surprised when Trump stated that the agreement should be the equivalent of a cost-plus contract, with the South Koreans reimbursing all U.S. costs plus a profit margin," McMaster wrote in the book, referring to Gen. Vincent Brooks, who led the USFK at the time.
