My goodness, this guy makes Trump sound like a 4 year-old, and not a particularly bright one at that. And a traitor as well. Astounding that Trump was ever elected to, well, anything. In his blistering, insightful account of his time in the Trump White House, McMaster describes meetings in the Oval Office as “exercises in competitive sycophancy” during which Trump’s advisers would flatter the president by saying stuff like, “Your instincts are always right” or, “No one has ever been treated so badly by the press.” Meanwhile, Trump would say “outlandish” things like, “Why don’t we just bomb the drugs?” in Mexico or, “Why don’t we take out the whole North Korean Army during one of their parades?” One subject was particularly neuralgic for Trump: Russia....McMaster felt it was his “duty” to point out to Trump that Russian President Vladimir Putin “was not and would never be Trump’s friend.” The final straw that ended McMaster’s tenure in the White House seems to have been when he publicly said on February 17, 2018, at the Munich Security Forum — the annual gathering of top Western foreign policy officials — that the indictment of a group of Russian intelligence officers for their interference in the 2016 US presidential election was “inconvertible” evidence of Russian meddling in that election. ....McMaster writes that in the aftermath of his 2020 electoral defeat, Trump’s “ego and love of self… drove him to abandon his oath to ‘support and defend the Constitution,’ a president’s highest obligation.” McMaster adds, “The attack on the US Capitol stained our image, and it will take a long-term effort to restore what Donald Trump, his enablers, and those they encouraged took from us that day.” Gen. McMaster’s blistering account of the Trump White House
Good lord. We’ve talked before about what it must have been like to be a responsible, experienced and competent adult in those meetings with him.
I predicted that RFK Jr. defecting to Trump would have about an eight hour news cycle. And I was right!
This kind of story we’ve now heard several times from independent identified sources. It’s about as verified as insider reports get. Trump was simply unfit for nomination by the Republicans, and now they are stuck with him.
Piling on by those that know him. We know now, thanks to exit polling and voter data, that it was moderate Republicans and conservative independents in key swing states that ultimately delivered the presidency to Joe Biden—honest, hardworking Americans in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and beyond that put country far before party. We’re heartfully calling on these friends, colleagues, neighbors, and family members to take a brave stand once more, to vote for leaders that will strive for consensus, not chaos; that will work to unite, not divide; that will make our country and our children proud.
Is it strange to you that, for the first time ever, a former vice president isn't endorsing the president they served under?
It's become boring by now to see Trump's closest advisors bash him as an incompetent traitor. Only Trump voters like Doc know the real Donald Trump.
first, all of them that have changed party affiliation need to change back so they can vote int he primaries to vote out all the maga candidates. dems and indy's should do the same for at least 2 election cycles anecdotally, 4 of the 5 candidates endorsed by MAGA in Collier County did not win in this primary. Collier Republican-backed candidates lost more 2024 local elections (naplesnews.com) In 2022, Collier farmer, grocer, and conservative political influencer Alfie Oakes endorsed seven candidates for local elections. All seven won their races. But this year, Oakes didn't have the same level of success and neither did the Collier County Republican Executive Committee. Here's the breakdown on which Collier GOP-endorsed candidates won, and which ones fell short. Which candidates were backed by the Collier GOP in the 2024 election? Supervisor of Elections: Dave Schaffel County Commissioner District 5: Bill McDaniel (Win) School Board District 2: Dr. Pam Cunningham School Board District 4: Tom Henning Property Appraiser: Jim Molenaar
Likely/hopefully after this election. Trump ins he’s a lame duck. Trump looses he’s gonna be too old to run in 2028(we hope).
