didn't see this before. someone sending a message to Iran not to f around and find out Central Bank of Iran attacked in massive cyberattack - The Jerusalem Post (jpost.com) The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and other banks were targeted on Wednesday as part of a significant cyber attack that led to widespread disruptions in the country's banking system, Iran International reported. According to reports, all the computer systems of the banks in Iran were paralyzed following the cyber attack. Initial estimates indicated that this could be one of the largest-ever cyberattacks against Iranian state infrastructure. The cyber attack is most likely a signal from the Western countries to Iran, that is, conveying a message that demonstrates how Iran can be harmed.
I'm guessing US unless Israel agency is against Net who would love to destroy Iran. If Iran launches big attack, Israel goes scorched earth on them, war rages on, Net stays in office. make sure leadership in Iran knows you can take their money or cripple their economy and maybe they rethink attack on Israel. I think Iran has gotten that message already though
Whenever I guess anything about military or other actions towards Iran, I’m usually off. Both have a major incentive to show the capability to mess with Iran’s economy via cyber warfare. My WAG is it was the US as Iran recently attempted to hack into the Harris campaign and successfully hacked Trump’s.
Yeah I had that thought also, just not sure the current Admin has the balls to actually do it though.
Well, isn't that the benefit of hindsight? At the time, were we not all worried about escalation and a war with Russia? What really hurt Ukraine was a cabal of House Republicans stalling on an aid package everyone else in Congress was anxious to pass several months ago.
You mean those weapon systems that a certain party no longer has interest in funding currently? There is quite a collection of clowns on one parties ticket that wants to tuck tail and move on.
no, we weren't all worried about escalation, and lots of us were clamoring for the defense production act to be implemented to accelerate weapons production long ago. yes maga sucks but the dems held the reins too tight and still haven't implemented the defense production act
I doubt Net wants anything to happen that discourages Iran from launching an attack that would justify a large military response
