Feels that way to me: The Thomas Eagleton Affair Haunts Candidates Today : NPR I'm beginning to think Walz won't make it through the convention and could be dropped after the convention. Harris undemocratically didn't receive a single vote in the democratic primaries. For such a non-democracy party, it would be easy to dump Walz. Of course, Nixon won in a landslide so there is that to consider.
Why would they dump him? What is the skeleton in the closet that no one knows about? If I remember right because I was just a kid at the time, Eagleton’s humiliating secret was that he had received electroshock treatment for clinical depression. It was at a time when mental health issues were a negative stigma. McGovern didn’t help himself by saying he was behind Eagleton 1000% and then replaced him.
Well Trump is definitely the Nixon figure that's for sure. I know its Friday, but you dont have to hit the sauce this early.
Lol! This is why everything thinks you’re full of crap and can’t be taken seriously when you make up idiotic stuff like this out of thin air. Walz is absolutely killing it and the GOP knows it, so they have to convince themselves of a fairy tale that doesn’t exist. Just because you hope he drops out doesn’t mean it’s a thing. The contrast in ratings between Walz and Vance right now is historic and it’s clear Harris made the right choice when he’s triggering the right this much.
OP I’ll give you $1,000 if Walz doesn’t make it through the convention. Not even a bet - I’ll just give it to you. that’s how stupid your take is.
Literally shaking in his boots over what a powerhouse Walz has been so far. OP has been wrong about so much stuff before and can’t handle being wrong again in November. ET was so confident in a red wave during the 2022 mid-terms and when that didn’t happen they disappeared from the board for over a year. Lol.
It's become a MAGAt canard that something from his past is going to bounce him soon. It's based on nothing like so many of their beliefs.
LOL! Just 80% of the folks, deluded lefties like yourself. Walz is a drag. He's as extreme and unacceptable to the majority as Harris. Neither his lying about his military record nor his woke and black live matter record in Minnesota will pass as acceptable. I'm sticking with he'll have to be replaced by someone more moderate once the dems realize they have a lost hand. It's what the I hate democracy party does.
I think Harris/Walz will end up losing by 5 or 6 points. Once she actually begins making policy proposals, doing interviews and the shroud is lifted on her record, independents will flee for the exits.
Even you know you’re full of shit, lol. I guarantee you nobody on the left regrets the Walz pick. In fact, we’re loving it. He’s so far beyond Vance in every measure it’s like watching the varsity against the JV. I know you’re dying inside seeing all the polls favor Harris now. Trump’s huge lead literally gone in a matter of weeks.
Actually the better analogy to McGovern/Eagleton would be Trump/Vance, the difference being that's probably too late for Trump to ditch JD Vance since he's alreay the formal nominee.
Walz military record doesn't pass and will not be allowed to be a lie glossed over: BOMBSHELL: Tim Walz's Former Unit Commander Goes on CNN, Delivers Devestating Testimony – RedState Too much I can't bring in due to posting rules, so you'll have to read something for a change. Julin recalled a March 2005 meeting where Walz “came in, we sat and talked, he told me, he says, I have not been nominated, I am going forward with the battalion. I said, ‘Good, let's go.’ We got the team built, and we're starting to build the team out there.” Julin held firm and insisted Walz knew better, “Tim Walz knew the processes and the procedures. He went around me and above and beyond me and went -- and basically went to get somebody to back him, to get him out of there without -- it was just a backdoor process that he handled against me or against the battalion out there.” Julin claimed the former, “No, he did something wrong in service, as I stated before. He knew the policies and procedures and how we go to leadership and address issues or discuss issues and concerns out there. Again, backing up, he had told me, 'No, I'm going forward, we're going to go with the battalion, and go from there.' So, I'm under the belief; he told me he was going forward...He went around me, which he should have addressed it with me so he could help me with some things out there.” He also theorized that Walz went around him because there was a possibility he would say no, “the fact is that there's a possibility he probably would have realized I would have probably said, ‘no, it's too late, you're going forward,’ because we'd already received our notification of sourcing. And there's one other little point out there that people say, well, he hadn't been notified yet. Yes, he had been notified.” Not only did he skip out on his unit, but he also claims to have held a gun in war: NEW: The Tim Walz Stolen Valor Scandal Just Got Much Worse Following Bombshell Report – RedState No, not a slip of the tongue, it's an unacceptable lie: Kamala HQ on X: "Gov. @Tim_Walz: I spent 25 years in the Army and I hunt. I’ve been voting for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks. We can research the impacts of gun violence. We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, https://t.co/3IVaXi2RP2" / X (twitter.com) WALZ: I'll take my kick in the butt from the NRA. I spent 25 years in the Army and I hunt. And I gave the money back. And I'll tell you what I have been doing. I’ve been voting for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks. We can research the impacts of gun violence. We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war.
