Parker just finished 11th in the women's Olympic 10K in 30:59. That is truly remarkable for a 21-year-old. Great race!

The winner finished in 30:43. Parker was in it until the last lap when the Kenyans busted it open. The other Americans finished 8th and 9th. Overall, a really good showing.

Thought her youth showed a little tactically....impatient a couple of times and seemed uncomfortable with positioning at moments. Also probably used to much energy charging to the lead for a brief moment with a few laps left. But overall, given her age, experience, and the heavy load she carried this spring with UF it was an impressive showing.
Will be fun to watch her progress over the next 4 years and where she is internationally come the LA olympics
