Surprise! Sacovie White arrested for reason (and the Rashadas file a lawsuit)

Eff him. We need to turn the tables.

I may have an unpopular opinion

But the Rashadas should sue. This is his best chance at a good payday, there clearly was a deal at some point, and it made him not consider other offers. He was definitely harmed.

Now I place the blame on our now defunct crappy NIL organization. Without any info I don’t blame Napier or UF at all.

This system is just awful. It puts both coaches and these kids in bad spots.

 

That is why the jacked-up system the NCAA and various States devised was so ridiculous. In FL, when Rashada signed, the coaches and reps of the University weren't even legally allowed to discuss NIL deals with players (the law has since changed).

These players need to understand that this is not a game now. If you hitch your wagon to a private NIL entity and that entity goes belly-up and reneges on its contracts, well that's business....not fraud. Get in line in bankruptcy court and see what you get.

What do the speakers in the car have to do with ... oh nvm.

 

As if they said, go ahead and pay players if you want and we'll get back to you if we don't like the way you do it.

 

And if you play games with multiple schools, you might get the short end of the stick.

My ideal ending to this saga is: lawsuit dropped week we play georgia; ETN has 25 yards on 15 carries and is sidelined with a minor leg tweak; Rashada rides the pine because georgia is down late in the second half; kirby has something in the back of his underwear born of fear.

 

The offer didnt make him do anything. He chose to drop Miami. His own greed did him in. Contrast him with some of our current players who were supposedly offered 'better' NIL deals last minute yet chose to stay with us and are now memebers of our team

 

Nice factoid well stated. The character of these kids is almost as important as their sheer physical talent. I know some will laugh but hear me out. The latest recruit, Johnell's nephew that is, serves as an example of the type of players/roster BN and staff are building a potentially great team on. They are not frivolous or selfish. There are no disruptors or shirkers around for long anymore. When DJ appears on camera, we see a very bright but humble young man who spent his Sr year blowing past everybody but was true to his word and to himself. The loyalty to the program, quality, and groundedness of these and many other young Gators inspires more interest and excitement than I've felt in a long time. GG! Beat Miami!

 

For these kids it’s a job, for better or worse.

In the real world you can sue an employer who backed out of an employment contract if there was harm. You may not always win, but it happens.

Money is a key consideration when choosing employment. You and I may not always choose the highest paying job but we’d be lying if we said it was a major factor. These kids are no different

 

If he was truly worth that much, he would have gotten it. The problem is, he’s not. Now he’s trying to get it anyway.

 

I’m sure he had a heavy sum at Miami that he should have stuck with and not tried to jump around and screw everybody over
