Yeah, a lot of Project 2025, like mass deportations, is stuff that Trump has already said he is going to do. And a lot of it was written by people who worked in the first Trump administration and will be appointed to his second administration. It's definitely a road map for Trump's second term.

Did you know it's also part of P2025 to eliminate the FDIC and all safety guidelines for bank accounts? Banks will also be able to use everyone's money like a casino and you know THEY won't be on the hook for their bad decisions.

Let’s force a run on the banks baybee.

Smart policy… if one were literally trying to destroy the financial system.

Also, eliminating funding and protections for special education programs. Way to throw your children and grandchildren under the bus.

P2025's changes to exempt employee standards would go from 40 hours a week to 160 hours a month without paid overtime.

Your employer could make you work an 80 hour week and then cut your hours 2 weeks later and owe you nothing extra.

Let's back up. You are one of those people who state things as facts when you really are insinuating or just flat-out being dishonest. Very much like the media you consume.

    1. CBS lacks credibility, and the article provides very few facts.

    2. Trump states he didn't know much about P2025 in your article. Maybe he does, maybe he does not. The fact is you and CBS do not know. In the video you shared, Trump talks about Tom Homan and border security. That was it. It has nothing to do with taxes or hiring 30 other people from the Heritage Foundation. Of course, he is going to work with TH on the border. They worked together the first go-around, and TH is a badass.

    3. You mention $6,600 taxing couples to help fund immigration concentration camps. Huh? To quote your article: "If the Child Tax Credit were also eliminated, they would pay an additional $6,600 compared with today's tax system, Duke said." "If" is the keyword there, and there is no mention of immigration camps. This is how the media works. Other key phrases in the article: "Trump hasn't yet proposed any concrete tax plans" - "One likely scenario if Trump is reelected is that Republican lawmakers would extend the TJCA's tax cuts,".

Nothing here is concrete, and most everything is a guess. Guesses that you state as fact. The fact is low and middle-wage earners have confidence in Trump. I will also share that most Americans take no comfort in the fact that the USA has the lowest inflation of the G7. Those dipshits are screwed with the way they have handled immigration.

Most of these seem like they’d be crazy unpopular policies, not just among “lefties” but more generally. Like… what working class blue collar worker wants to “end the FDIC” or end overtime. It’s quite bizarre.

One of the few Trump cabinet members who endorsed him and is, this, likely to return, proposes devaluing the dollar purposefully. This is actually utilizing policy to cause inflation directly by making imports relatively more expensive in order to boost exports to countries who won't be experiencing this inflation. I wonder what those posters so upset by inflation will say about one of Trump's chief economic advisors literally proposing inflation as a policy goal.

BTW, before the "never heard of him" responses start (although I suspect the response will be crickets from those folks so upset by inflation), JD Vance supports this policy too:

A better question for this thread is whether Democracy can afford Trump. And that answer would be a big hell no.

You say CBS lacks credibility but you trust Trump. Ludicrous.

Trump has spoken about P2025 many times. The videos are out there. He only started to disavow it once he realized it was a liability.

Concentration camps was my invention. If Trump takes more taxes from Group A, that money could be said to fund any of his initiatives like camps or the tax cuts for the rich P2025 promises.

The only thing Trump has done for low wage earners is hate the people they blame for their lives. Once in power, he will screw them with their pants on. Putin, Peter Thiel and Musk are his benefactors. He only wants the votes from his hick rubes.

Project 2025's author Tom Homan was the keynote speaker at the RNC last night. But tell me some more about how Trump doesn't believe in P2025.

Did you know that in a wacky intersection of corporate desires and Christian fanaticism that the only way to earn overtime pay under P2025 is if you are forced to work on the sabbath?

Yep. It would change OT pay to where it is only available if you go over 160 hours over 4 weeks. So if a company had a big week coming up, they could make you work 80 hours and give you no hours one week over the next 3 leaving you unpaid and owe you nothing extra.

That link actually backs it all up.

It claims that it would be required to pay OT on “the Sabbath”, but would give more flexibility to employers to not pay OT by doing it over 2 weeks or even a full month, rather than determining it weekly.

No way that works out for the worker, especially ones with deadlines and such. It means the employer can grind employees with 60 or 80 hour work weeks to hit a deadline, then effectively furlough them the next week or several weeks to avoid ever paying OT. What employee would want that “flexibility”??) Keep in mind this would be people paid by the hour. Mid-level managers and above are typically salaried anyway.

It’s interesting that some of the people who criticize Trump for the loss of jobs at the end of his term, are the same people who fully supported lockdowns that led to those job losses.
