Trump’s own VP pick also called him Hitler. You waiting for an apology from him too?

Trump quotes Hitler, calls for concentration camps and mass deportations of those who are "poisoning our blood" and you somehow feel he was miss-characterized and deserves an apology?

What the hell are you talking about? Please link to any Dems who "called Trump Hitler."

Now, they may have criticized using the language of Hitler, as did the Republican VP nominee.

(Edit : I think that Republican actually DID refer to Trump as Hitler, correct? )

But is that so wrong? I mean, do YOU support politicians echoing the rhetoric of Adolph Hitler? Beyond with your vote, that is..... 20240204_143854.jpg

There is a portion of the maga base that would be fine with putting those who disagree with them into camps or deporting them entirely. Just because the entire gop does not feel that way does not make it less concerning. Obviously these idiots have no concept of our founding principles. Camps indeed. Where have we seen that before?

    Absurd.

He, or anyone else, claims to "not know anyone" who thinks like this. Then they all look away as the guy they'll vote for refuses to condemn, and even encourages this. Then they'll vote for the political party that ignores and even tells lies defending this....

Then they'll stand there like those monkeys with hands over their eyes and ears and say " Wasn't me, wasn't the guy I vote for. Dindu nuffin. "

    Freaking absurd.

Vance is an important part of this. Vance's politics were primarily developed during his time working for Thiel and some of his associates. Their political philosophy arises from Curtis Yarvin and what is known as "the dark enlightenment." Vance has cited his ideas specifically in interviews. Yarvin believes that the democratic government of the US should be overthrown and replaced by something more like either a monarchy or some form of a corporate board. He also regularly "jokes" about genocide.

Sure. Out 10's of millions. Which is really my point. Noting a single marine unit wouldn't eliminate in 5 minutes thus ending any "civil war" while millions of normal Trump voters cheer the marine unit.

About 28% of Republican voters agreed with the statement that "Americans have to resort to violence to get the country back on track."

1 in 5 Americans think violence may solve U.S. divisions, poll finds

So it is likely that some of those "normal" Trump voters that you cite actually believe that too.

Right, and I dont know that person. The closest I come to knowing someone like that is coming to a politically charged message board.

I know they exist. I just don't know anyone personally that would support any violence.

Yeah. You said that 4 years ago when I told everyone the courts would not keep Trump in power and blah blah blah..

The dramatic fear mongering is deep.

A civil war would require way more than a couple nutbag magas with big trucks and mullets.

I dont defend the words. I clearly condemned them. I just find the whole fear that his words will amount to anything to be just as empty as the fears spouted 4 years ago.

Our checks and balances will survive just like they did then. THAT is what i have always preached.

Heck double digit Democrats and 18% of independents said the same thing.

Do you know any democrats that would want violence? Independents?

"Double digits." Strange that you decided to frame it that way rather than say the percentage. It was 12%, it should be noted. Quite a bit less than 28%. Basically, that means that about 1 out of 3 or 4 Republicans believe in violence and about 1 out of 8 or 9 Democrats do. And yes, there are people on the left that believe in violence. There just are far fewer of them.

I worded ot accurately. 12% is double digits.

And I am saying the poll is probably garbage.
I dont believe the numbers of Dems or Indy's is that high either. But I may be wrong. Still nowhere near enough to cause a civil war.

    72% or Republicans.
    82% of Independents.
    And 88% of Democrats.

That is still way to lopsided for a war to happen.

A couple evil nut jobs may do something and they will get overwhelmed and go to prison. But it will fall far short of anything that amounts to "war".
