My wife went up the mountains sat night to see Vampire Weekend at the spectacular Dillon amphitheater. here’s what I did 2 lbs shrimp with tail & shell but deveined 1 tbs allspice berries 1 tbs black pepper corns 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon thyme 1 tbs Chinese 5 spice 4 or 5 cloves of garlic (Usually Id add 2 scotch bonnets, 4 scallions & 1/2 an onion) Too lazy to go the store so subbed 2 canned chipotles grind that up in a food processor then add Juice of a lime 1/2c low sodium soy sauce Process again Pour over shrimp in a shallow dish I let it marinate for 5 or 6 hours It was raining so rather than grilling I dumped it all into my biggest cast iron pan brought to a boil for a few minutes then scarfed them down. Best damn shrimp ever.
I would guess bar is losing a bit of cash on that deal but making up for it in higher margin alcohol sales? Just a thought.
Decent size burger. I am truly shocked they can sell it so cheap. Must be making up money with beer sales.
