Im sure the guy helped many people lose weight and get motivated....I just hope they dont fill their stadium with red and white short shorts in his memory when we play them.

I think Burt surpasses him as the most famous fsu alum.

And like Simmons did for others Burt’s work helped me tremendously. As a teenager I learned to drive my 1978 Trans Am by watching Smokey and the Bandit 5,473 times.

Although he epitomized everything fsu, he didn't go there.

Never take a shot at anyone who did a lot of good and little if any harm.

Richard Simmons was a very outgoing celebrity who lived a private life.

He kept his private life out of the public view. Especially, out of the media.

In a nut shell, Simmons did not let his private life define him.

As far as his public life, Simmons was very positive, outgoing, cheerful, and very helpful to his friends and strangers. Recently he made an announcement on Facebook that he was a supporter to the Wounded Warriors Project. Evidently, he had a lot of love and respect for our Veterans.

    Rest in peace Richard!

Actually he did go to FSU. And, he graduated with a degree. In Art, if I remember correctly.

My comment was about Pee Wee Herman, and he didn't go to fsu. He went to Boston U.

Reynolds was definitely a ladies' heart throb and oddly a Mark Spitz look-a-like:

Meanwhile Keith Richards is currently on tour. Is there anything we can learn from that?

I read somewhere that he and Sally Fields split up because she caught him in bed with a man. (Richard or Pee Wee?) Just sayin'.

It was easy to pick on Richard Simmons when he was at his flamboyant peak, in tiny shorts and "sweatin' to the oldies." But looking back on his life, he did so much to help people and never complained about people mocking him. He was a great man.
