This report is probably about as accurate as all those NIL amounts paid that are being "reported."

 

FSU backers should read this and what the BIG commissioner had to say and take the L and cut their losses now. Its becoming ever more clear that their two choices outside of the ACC will be the BIG 12 or Independent and neither of those are going to get them any more $$ than they are currently receiving.

 

I’m good with them being left out in the cold, effectively killing off the ACC in the process.

 

I think it would take another conference realignment for the ACC to implode and right now the tea leaves aren't strong in that direction. FSU looks like the only program dumb enough to think they have some cachet to a major conference. I think that Clemson will back off pretty quickly if they don't think they can land in the big leagues and I think the rest of the ACC, although not perfectly satisfied, is content enough not to implode the ACC if just FSU leaves. I wonder if ESPN would even re-negotiate the contract....they have a pretty good deal with the ACC even without FSU.

Of course, as all the pundits have said, ND is the wildcard that could cause immediate changes to the conference landscape. As long as their minor sports have a conference to play in though, I don't know why they would make a change since their deal is already as good as the Big 2 conferences receive.

 

3,000? That's like a home game.
