it’s fairly SOP. Narcos. VIPs wear it depending on the occupation. You’d be surprised on how many do. It’s just priced out of most people discretionary budget.

There are reports an officer confronted him up close while he was set up. He flashed his gun at the officer and then hurriedly set back up to shoot at Trump quickly, so that most likely threw him and luckily saved Trump from a calm first shot.

Yeah you're going to be dead before you get a worthwhile second shot off and you're up against a competent sniper team. You would know that going into it and would either take the perfect shot or wait until later.

No I'm not surprised at all just disappointed. If you're going to lead people you can't be scared of them. Lame af low key. You'd think a populist would refuse on principle.

The Secret Service was a mess long before she took the helm, but y'all never miss an opportunity to gripe about people striving for equality.

They are locked up and never been loaded. With some out there who want to take away the ability for me to get them…I had to plan ahead.

So thanks for your concern though :rolleyes:

Great info! Will be interesting to see how much time they are able to dig up this kid ever shot a gun…

Equality means the person in charge can take the same criticism male or female. If a man was in charge and the goal of 30% female SS shouldn’t he get the same questions?

Perhaps a better question is was that some sort of Federal mandate if it even is one or was it a mandate from the director level.

Can’t believe the cop wouldn’t draw and take a shot if that’s a true story.

Yes. I watched it shortly twice. Honestly I try to avoid the news all day every day. Sporadically jump in to see where things are. Unhealthy to live it imo (I use to!!!).

If memory serves me right from those quick watches (not really news but video of the moment)…a few shots “shooter” (not as loud)…few shots “likely SS” (sounded more powerful)…another couple less powerful followed by a couple more powerful?

I might be off but that is what I remember when I watched a video of the moment live (again…I have only popped on here today for the most part occasionally).

You see that he got cut from his high school rifle team for being a bad shot?

It wasn't a mandate. It was a goal.
It would also be a remarkably stupid gripe if you directed it at a male director. Hope that helps.

Don’t want to go down the wrong rabbit hole in this thread, so suffice it to say that as far as I am concerned being able to label a person as female has absolutely zero to do with the ability to do the best job in severe circumstances.

How experienced would one need to be. Would myself a person who has never shot with a scope be able to hit a target at that distance? Would it take a day? A week? A month? Just curious as we learn more about the shooter.

The guy is shooting from stage left, so Trump had to have his head turned for that ear injury?

your post doesn’t make much sense and there isn’t a person alive other than you who would consider a world leader wearing a vest as lame.

Suffice it to say, it is a silly concern. And it is an especially silly concern when she set a goal for 2030 in 2023. Arguing that allowing more women in caused this is a disgusting sentiment. But then again, it's nothing new. Only white men deserve important jobs.
