Not one of their better efforts although the Sewannee bit was pretty amusing.

Does anyone remember why Texas A&M left the Big XII?
    One word: TEXAS

I guess we will see how long it takes them to ruffle some feathers in the league.

They mainly left because there was unequal revenue sharing in the league and the league allowed Texas to create its own TV network. I think that was the final straw for them. The SEC has a lot of warts (like turning a blind eye to blatant cheating by their bell-cow), but at least they distribute revenue equally and don't treat certain league members as lesser entities.

I'm sure, however, that their distaste for Texas is a lot like ours for FSU. There will be a lot of bitter Gators if the SEC ever lets FSU in the league particularly after they arrogantly turned down the invitation in the early 1990's.

No doubt, and its easy to find them in the SEC too. FSU is whining about getting out of the ACC and at minimum wants an unequal share of the revenue generated even though they contribute virtually nothing to the ACC's most successful sport, basketball. Do you agree they should get more? How would you as a Gator fan feel if the SEC decided to give Bama and Georgia more $$ by taking some out of UF's pie because they are winning more lately? Probably not too good.

I truly believe that one of the big reasons the SEC has been so successful is that at least monetarily they've given every member a chance to compete. What each member does with that is up to them, but they at least don't have a hand tied behind their back due to unequal revenue distribution.

And just to add to this, professional sports most successful league is far and away the NFL.
For the last 50 years they have distributed money equally. So the Cardinals get the same TV money as the Cowboys.
I think the SEC needs to do this too, but obv there is NO WAY they should let FSU in.
Even if the Big 10 takes them, I don't care. Keep Fsu out!!

Dear Bazza What does the SEC and Mizzou have in common? me Ten years in Gainesville and now I live in Missouri. True the Golden Girls are really golden. This year Mezzo will be 10-2 and be in the playoffs because their schedule is easy as ours is hard.

I agree to a certain point but Vandy should be cut off. NFL has is right in regards to spendin the enitire cap as a rule. Taking the cash and not trying to compete should get you kicked out of the league.

Always noise about ND and the big 10. Make too much sense to happen. Seems pretty doubtful, but fine with me, on both teams. .

I saw something a couple of days ago that intimated that A&M is pissed about their old friends from Austin crashing the party and may split to the Big whatever. I've heard there's no love loss for the shorthorns in Oklahoma, Missouri or Arkansas either. I almost hope A&M hangs in just to annoy UT west.
