Sounds like a great addition, but with all the pro ball this kid played since 14 how the hell is he eligible? Was he never under contract with any of the teams even as he got older? Maybe with NIL it almost shouldn’t matter any more, but have to be worried this might turn into another one of those cases the NCAA arbitrarily makes him sit or that we keep waiting for him to get cleared. Hopefully my worries are unfounded but I guess we’ll see.
That's kinda my take, but we'll see. Haven't heard any rumors of him not returning. That said, Klavzar isn't coming in at 20 years old with three years of Spanish club play just to develop off the bench. He should compete immediately for playing time next year, and will likely be the guy we have in mind as full-time starter the following year. We wanted a younger, developmental guard to prep for the future, but I guess we are confident this kid will be back, and that we can complement him, Aberdeen, Brown, and Lloyd (and likely another freshman) with a portal guy or two.
I'm very excited for this addition and can't wait to see how his skills translate to the SEC. GoGators!
Wow, he's pretty shifty and able to create separation and his own shots. Some terrific assists in that new video as well. Got a little Jason Williams in him.
In the highlights at the top of the thread, his quickness didn't look quite upper-tier SEC-level, but in the new video, it does. He's already in the mix for a starting role. BTW, 43% from the 3, 83% from the line. He can shoot.
Sorry but not training over the summer with the team = not part of the team. That's insurmountable IMO, he was never coming back
neither will be around for awhile… Kajus Kublickas (Lithuania) and Urban Klavzar (Slovenia) will face each other in Euro U20s on July 14. Could last a few weeks if they win.
I knew he was named to their team but didn't know if he was gone for our summer. Summer is different down under. They do have pro ball and take the game seriously.
So you're saying Condo, being overseas and playing for the Aussies this summer = not part of the team? Insurmountable? A bit harsh, I think.
We had the ships. Why not. I'm all for competition. Looks like a baby Luka. If he can play D in the SEC, he'll get PT.
