Way to go coaches, not many teams will be as deep under the boards as us. Bodes well, the Tri tipsters!
I think Haugh will be a stud at the 3. Great size, great motor and really good mechanics on his shot.
Does this pickup suggest anything about Handlogten's status? Also, forgive for not reading closely, but is he a first year player? How old? Do we expect him to get any PT? One poster suggested a RS. Also, does it suggest that Golden feels confident about the PG spot? PG will be the biggest mystery coming into the season. Let's hope that Aberdeen & another player are ready to man the point.
CTG wants to go big... PG: Haugh, 6'-9" SG: Condon, 6'-11" SF: Mikic, 6'-11" PF: Chinyelu, 6'-11" C: Rioux, 7'-9" Gators will outrebound opponents 65-4.
Handlogten is a junior, redshirting this season. Mikic will be a true freshman. Chinyelu, sophomore. Condon, sophomore, Rioux, true freshman, Haugh, sophomore. Very young group of bigs.
After his injury, and when everything was sorted out, Golden never expected him to play this upcoming season. He let it be known publicly, and obviously to Handlogten and his family, that there would be no pressure to play this coming season and that he was exclusively focused on Handlogten's complete recovery. So signing this guy says nothing about Handlogten's recovery.
In an interview, Coach said he and Handy spoke at length. CTG told him to take his time with his rehab, redshirt next year, and come back as a monster.
I saw an interview with Handlogten and he said he was redshirting. I imagine things could always go better than expected and they reevaluate, but the plan is for him to redshirt
forgot about the other kid who is 6'9 transfer ... also looks like we will get someone else this coming week, but not that big. Think it will be a wing type player
