What a story! I'm so, so sorry you and your wife had to go through that. The attitude of some here bespeaks a judgmental self-righteousness that is impossible for me to comprehend. Your comparison to the Taliban is not far off the mark.
If my wife was raped and I also knew the baby had down syndrome and autism, then I would still tell my wife to carry to term. The only scenario where abortion is a possibility is to save the life of the mother.
Tell rather than ask? In any event, I respect your consistency. I must ask, though, why would you value the life of the mother over that of the fetus? If you’re making a value judgement, why can’t you recognize that others might have other values when it comes to abortion?
How many of those same right wing politicians have paid for their girlfriends and mistresses to get an abortion?
That's a wonderful choice for you. Especially since you aren't the one carrying it. Now let's try not forcing your choice on everyone else.
Yes, tell rather than ask. The man is the leader in the marriage. All I said was abortion is a possibility when the life of the mother is in danger. I don't value any life over and against another life. There are some situations where abortion is pretty obviously the solution. When the baby implants in the fillopian tube and there is 0 chance of survival for the baby but great danger to the mother, then this is one instance where an abortion could be justified IMO. A lot of ethical conundrums are messy. Choosing between two lives is one such scenario. The correct decision is not always crystal clear, and it is impossible to write laws that consider every ethical conundrum. I think the law should draw a hardline on the obvious cases, and then give liberty to a patient and their doctor when there is an ethical conundrum in choosing between the life of the mother and the life of the baby. You call abortion different values. Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer had different values too, but we still prosecuted them for their crimes.
This explains a lot. Stepford wives. Trad-wife. Buddy, you are going to get a huge surprise in the afterlife. You can say you accept Jesus as your savior but there is no saving you. Your pride is ultimately what will get you eternal damnation. Thinking you are excluded because of your views is going to get you eternal damnation. I do NOT envy you. You retard the Lord's words to fit some arrogant narrative. He will not look kindly at your judgments and prideful arrogance.
That is a feminist, who has not submitted to the teaching of God's Word. If she does not submit to the authority of God's Word, then she won't raise children to submit to God's Word either. That is not the kind of person who I would trust to raise my children.
The Sin of Pride is more deadly than a knife; for any words spoken through it, with hatred, kills a soul a thousand times. As Angels mourn because of it, the demons rejoice. Pride, on the other hand, is the mother of all sins, and the original sin of Lucifer...an instrument strung but preferring to play itself because it thinks it knows the tune more than the musician. It is much too late for your soul.
God have mercy upon your soul. My friend, you preach as though you think God speaks through you. Eternal damnation is the best outlook for you. You think a submissive woman is God's will? Your fall will be great and talked among the heavens for all eternity. You will be an example. You mock the Lord.
