Horford is all class and one of our all-time great Gators. So happy for him.

 

College HOF certainly. Do stats support NBA HOF? Big Al fan but not certain. How many All Star games or All NBA first or second teams? Career scoring and rebounding averages? Number 28 among active players in points scored. Kevin Love has more points than Al in less games. Does Kevin get in HOF? Number 14 in points scored in the playoffs amongst active players. Number 7 in regular season rebounds (also behind Kevin Love). and blocks among active players. Number 2 in active players in playoff rebounds and playoff blocks. Longevity has helped Al climb ranks. Particularly in playoff stats.

More reasons why Big Al is a great human being. Giving back and great humility

 

There is no NBA Hall of Fame. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame looks at all basketball achievements, not just the NBA. Horford's NBA career doesn't quite get him in, but his two college championships, and his record in international play will get him there. Not a first ballot hall of famer, but I do believe he will eventually make it in.

 

Time for him to come home and coach up our bigs.
