This is great news, IMHO. This running back is 6'1" and over 200lbs with good to great speed on the football field. I've wanted this guy to stick since he committed to the Gators. Now it seems he is shutting down his recruitment. With four-star running back Waltez Clark shutting down his recruitment after an official visit, committing to the University of Florida solidifies Billy Napier's vision for reloading the Gators' backfield. Clark's decision was further reinforced by the relationships he has with running backs coach Jabbar Juluke and current starter Montrell Johnson, who served as his player-host during the visit. The camaraderie and sense of belonging during his time on campus played a pivotal role in solidifying his commitment, as he expressed, "All the players just taking me in as one of them, and then I've already been liking the place." Key commit for Florida Football confirms plan to become a Gator
This is awesome! I really believe we have something very special in the works. All we need is a winning season and this could be a really unique program Coach is building
Waltez ran a personal best of 10.77 100M at the district track competition. He didn’t advance to the state meet, but only because the competition was so deep at his district meet. Needless to say 10.77 is very fast for someone his size as a junior.
Yesss Yesss... we DO have something special building that is causing a LOT of concern with other rival coaches and fans! Has anyone been noticing all the negative articles regarding the Gators? Ton of them out there! They know that when Florida gets a winning season, that it will propel our program and it will explode.
I’d love to think all the mudslinging by our lowlife rivals might backfire, at least with some of the higher-character recruits. I can hope…
