it amazes me too. If you like a sport, why not watch it being played at the highest level..the NBA playoffs is the highest of the highest.
Dallas - Boston is going to be an epic series too

I'm pulling for Dallas but if the Celts win that will be the one silver lining, would love to see him get his ring

Would love to see Al go out with the ring. I'm no Celtic fan but my appreciation for Al supercedes that.

Can’t deny the pure talent and athleticism but…The NBA is defense optional for much of the regular season, even the first round of the playoffs some years. ISO and pick and roll all day isn’t great basketball either (those aren’t what they were but still around). There’s also still a ton of “me first” shots.
The warriors were great to watch because passing, finding open looks and great shooting were pure fun basketball, but it’s regressed again in recent years.

3 point shooting has changed the game and perhaps not for the better, the “Hack a Shaq” and zone D removed the excitement of the big man in the game, and agree that D during the regular season is lacking. Intensity and D goes to another level during playoffs.

Unrelated kinda, but didn’t wanna start a new thread. I’m not a Kyrie fan, but this does help explain him a bit.

100% I grew up in the 80s as a huge Lakers fan so my childhood disdain for the Celtics runs deep. But I'm so glad to see Al is very likely to get a ring, I don't even care if it is the Celtics. And I don't care about the Lakers anymore anyway, or the NBA in general.

    9 - 9 - 2 stat line! Not bad for a man his age.

Nembhard & Horford. I'm not an NBA guru, though, so I may be missing someone.

Not a lot of former Gators in the NBA any longer. Billy D pipeline drying up now. Mann and Nebhard were it for Mike White regime in terms of impact players. Haslem now retired. Noah and Brewer done. Finney-Smith, Mann, and Al the only non-transfers still in NBA??? Castleton and Fudge were both transfers that made NBA rosters last year. Any others??

Fudge ended up on Dallas and was in the finals, although he didn’t play.

I'm watching (slowly, off and on) recording of Castleton playing with the Lakers summer team a couple of days ago alongside Bronny and Dalton Knecht. As of halftime, CC has played pretty well. Still seems to me like he needs to amp up the energy to make his mark in the NBA.
