Yes congratulations! another great season, a great career. Wonder if he'll be back for an attempt to repeat
#18! Gonna have to make a bigger Garden to hold all those banners soon. Regardless of one's opinion of the Celtics, outside of Tatum's whinning and anoying under / mis-utilization of his skills, this is a hard team not to like. Just a good group of team-focused dudes - and of course - our man- Big Al!
All-time favorite Gator! All the post game interviews were asking the other players about Al and how much he deserved it. I have a hard time imagining him walking away from this team barring injury. They're poised to keep dominating in the East.
As both a Gator and Celtics fan, I would be thrilled to see Al win back to back championships with both teams If Porzingus can get healthy then Al could get some me more rest for another run next season
In 2018 or 2019 I ran a summer contest. Something about posters' perceptions of the top 20 Gator hoopsters. People picked their 20 and then were awarded pts based upon the degree to which their picks matched the consensus. We also used top 20 lists from Dooley and Brent's guy - former Gator hoopster and broadcaster. Bill Koss? I don't remember which poster won the contest, but big Al was deemed the d#1 Gator.
Al is coming back for an 18th season! Al Horford isn't going to walk off into the sunset after winning his first NBA championship. Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck confirmed Horford is set to return for an 18th NBA season. "Al is coming back for next year," Grousbeck told The Greg Hill Show. "That's what I've been told. Ironically, we won in '08 over Al's team. The Hawks took us to seven in the first round. So, we were part of his drought, and now he came home to us. He loves it here. He and his family love it here. He couldn't be happier, and we are also happy to have him."
Love it when Haslem says to Horford, "first of all, Go Gators" Then Horford's son doing the Gator Chomp...and that he's going to Gainesville ps his wife is 6'2 (and was 2003 Miss Universe) so it's safe to say his son will be tall
