I just said it was an assumption to think he’s lying, because he is a part of the data. Maybe not the survey itself, but the data itself. He’s a stakeholder. Which of the 46% of the players are you calling a liar? Which of them have character issues? Heck which of the 54% are lying? Who is CBN seeking, when it comes to his type of player? Do they come with or without character? Wasn’t trying to imply anything, just that data matters. Yes, I think the on3 surveys are more for clicks, but it doesn’t mean the data doesn’t give us some insight.
I think this is an absolutely terrible question for a survey, and it’s going to generate a ton of false data. I don’t think that everyone that said they aren’t a gold digger is a liar. I think that most people who said they aren’t most interested in the money genuinely believe it. I’m more interested in what they actually did when they had the two offers. Your survey doesn’t show you that. The data generated by this survey is useless and the whole survey was created and posted to generate clicks, not useful data.
We don’t know what’s what really but we can get reads on certain guys over time. Not many are turning down significant money though. It’s hard for most to leave too much on the table.
I can’t disagree. We’ve seen it happen enough to know, and we can agree some of these kids lie. I think we just have to trust CBN and the types of players he’s going after (Rashada vs DJ). We’ve seen some kids choose UF over money (DJ and LJ) got bigger offers from what I heard. Heck, with Grimsley it came down to coaches and who would be around longer, and then Saban left. No telling what’s going thru these kids minds sometimes. Some have their head on a swivel and some on their shoulders. Last year, we got poached because of Money. Hopefully the increase in our NIL budget helps us keep up financially. There should be no excuses on the UF financial side, IMO. .
G8torsRUL already replied but I think it was around an announced 2 Million budget increase for Football Recruiting, not for the NIL fund.
In regards to your 2 examples, not necessarily. We spend money too …we just prioritize on where we spend it.
