yeah you hold him. You have 3-4-5 up. You expect 3-4 to put the ball in play. A&M would have conceded the run
Decent throw from the Cutoff and he was dead, was receiving the ball and Cade wasnt a third of the way.....no way you make the first out at the plate there. Wilson and Shelton simply didn't do their jobs with productive at bats.
At least we saved an unnecessary challenge. We challenge and keep it to 1 run. We bunt runners over we add a run. That run should have made it 2-2!
The time to send Kurland was on the blocked pitch. worst case it’s 1st and 3rd 2 out versus 2nd and 3rd with 2 out. You take that chance to score
In the majors I assume an incredible play will be made. In college if you make that incredible play, hats off to you. The likely hood of that relay being caught, released, on target, caught, and a tag is very low even at this level in college. I also expect professionally hitters to do their job, but college is college.
Man on 1B / 1 out Jameson is done and #3 So LHP Fisher comes in (7.24, 3-3, 54.2 IP) Kc/B - Laviolette hits into 6-3 DP 0/0/0/0 Ags 3-0
Lol....the relay had been caught and it was a pretty routine throw to the plate. That was a regular play for a high school team....Omaha kids are making that play a high percentage. There was nothing incredible involved
We can disagree. I've seen a play like that not only result in a run, but the ball getting away from the catcher and the runner going to third more often than both runners scoring by being held at this level. MLB is completely different.
Disagree all you want to @apkgator but this team needs to score a run to get any confidence it needs.
