All, I have closed the Prayers thread and ask that you leave your remembrances of Ray on this thread. This Memorial tribute was put together by @ETGator and I personally thank him so very much for helping us to remember a special Man Ray Dimbath aka RayGator!!
We rode with Ray a few times from Lakeland to see SEC football championship games. He was, of course, an enthusiastic Gator, but more so an open and kind man. He was comfortable in his own skin and made others always feel welcome and appreciated. A good, good man who will be missed.
I posted in the prayer thread that Ray and I had lunch together several times when he came to town for his family reunions. Always an enjoyable time. I’m glad they played A Mighty Fortress at his service. I think he told me at one of the lunches that was his favorite hymn, which was appropriate for a good Lutheran. You are missed Ray!
Rest In Peace Ray. You’re truly one of the greatest Gators to have walked the planet and an amazing person by all accounts. May your friends and family find peace and comfort in these difficult times.
I hope for Ray's sake as he is in Heaven he remembers this one thing from all of us here at Gator Country..... WORK 'EM SILLY, RAY, WORK 'EM SILLY. God's blessings to you and your family.
I have no helpful words, except to say he was the most optimistic Gator on here. His words/messages were always meaningful to me, as I am sure they were to everyone on here. Rest in Peace in that Big Swamp in the Sky Ray. We will miss you. God Bless his family during this difficult time. This is for you Ray: GO GATORS!!
RayGator, I am so glad to have gotten to know you and am very grateful for all your years on Gator Country. Godspeed, my friend. You will be sorely missed. Ray PS. Thank you @g8orbill for keeping us in the loop and @ETGator for a wonderful tribute. ❤️
