Not sure if it is or not but if we offer the others then I would say yes. If we do not offer others then I would say very viable.
I love north Georgia. Have friends who retired to Blairsville and have been to Ellijay/Blue Ridge several times. My wife & I had planned for 20 years to retire to either Montana or Colorado (Bozeman or Woodland Park particularly), but things just never worked out to make it happen and now we have 4 grandkids within 70 miles of us. Ain't going anywhere!!
Well, you lost me. We were specifically talking about a kid choosing between Oregon and UF and you said, "If she wants money, Oregon can definitely give her something to consider." So, if not a direct comparison, isn't that implied?
I know all of this is massively off-topic so if anyone wants to tag it as such...go for it. It is off-season anyway. So, after the afternoon drive through the mountains with the two dogs in the back, and taking them for a walk in the park, we retired to the house. While it is in a private development, I have an acre that is essentially deep in the woods surrounded by the forest. I can barely see the end of my driveway. I can't see in summer any of my neighbors who aren't particularly close anyway. Still all the amenities including 1 gig internet. I can't afford multi-million dollar lakefront property on our 20 mile mountain lake but I have the next best thing. The end of my drive is about 500' from our private boat ramp on a small one lane road. Takes me longer to hitch up the trailer to the truck than it does to get the boat from the garage to the lake. So, after the errands, the two dogs and I spend the late afternoon on the front deck in the forest with me sucking on my self-anointed best frozen margaritas in history waiting for AU softball to come on the tube. I'm not complaining.
Your post implied that Oregon had nothing to offer. I think you’re being naive if you don’t think Oregon can put together a nice NIL offer.
You lost me again. I was very complimentary of Oregon. Other than the weather early in spring. I did say UF was the better option and it is but that isn't denigrating Oregon. Reread what I said about the state and about the school.
This is the post I initially responded to. If there’s something complimentary in here about Oregon, feel free to point it out.
It was a joke. I said it was a joke. About her. And if you don't think UF has better weather and a better program than Oregon, I'm not the one that is naive.
If the player is looking for a paycheck, Oregon could give her something to consider. That’s all I said. You can continue running yourself around in circles about things I never said if you’d like.
Another replacement needed is, who replaces Emily? Our backup catcher plays third base. We need to replace Emily’s enthusiasm on the bench, in the bullpen and as a pinch hitter. There are some good catchers in the portal from lower tier schools. Look for CTW to bring one in.
What about us? We are worrying about our assistant coach and we be should getting players for next year!!!
With the returners and incoming class the Gators are loaded but could use a veteran pitcher and experienced middle infielder to solidify the roster.
