A pretty interesting article and situation. It's pretty sad that my first thought was "At least it's nice for them that people apparently care, when about half of our electorate and political body doesn't seem to mind hostile foreign powers meddling in our election to destabilize our government and country." A new report accuses parliamentarians of aiding foreign governments to interfere in Canadian politics, which some national security experts say would amount to 'traitors' at the heart of our democracy. And if the primary goal of interference is to destabilize Canada, is this report just another success for foreign actors? Are there 'traitors' in Canada's Parliament? | CBC Radio
Wouldn’t be surprised if we had many congressmen on a foreign country’s payroll…. MTG comes to mind with her pro Russian stance on the war. It wouldn’t be the first time, Rachel Maddow’s “ultra” podcast did a Great series on Nazis buying about 24 US congressmen in the 1940s to shill their ideas in America…. A part of US history that no one talks about…. No congressmen were punished and president Truman refused to allow the investigation findings to be made public because it was too damaging to America.
To your point Sen. Robert Menendez is being prosecuted for bribery involving foreign countries including Egypt. Im quite sure he’s not the only one.
She just started a second season. First episode dropped yesterday. Just about finished it. Good, and timely Transcript: Dr. Hunt
We do, look up how many people in congress take money from AIPAC ... then look at their voting record on Israel
Agree. Russia has probably bought about double that number of Republicans. Not even counting the NRA.
What you saying bro? You have a copy of the Trump pee tape? Post it! Does he get mad when it messes up his hair?
If you’re trying to be funny, you flopped. There are dozens of congressman and senators who are beholden to foreign interest. It is one of the few truly bi-partisan issues that we have.
It would be interesting to see a compilation of voting records of legislators in the house and senate whose votes happen to be in favor of things that are helpful to Putin.
What you say, his hair flopped during the golden shower? Seriously though, and all kidding aside; you voted for (and probably will again) a Presidential candidate who the Republican Senate Intelligence Committee said had knowingly received help from Russia during a presidential election. How does that make you feel - voting for the guy that Russia helped, and who knew Russia was helping? Like a patriot? It's actually close to treason, were it wartime, isn't it? Must feel good. I wouldn't know though, so please tell.
