Amazing atmosphere. So fortunate to have gone. You summed it up perfectly. The loud siren after they hit the home run in the 13th was over the top. We had to listen to them through the controversy.

 

They are funny..if it was our pitcher that had something their coach considered suspicious, I bet they would be in favor of having it checked

 

In Lacrosse, the coach has the option for a stick check. The stated purpose is to make sure the players stick falls within legal guidelines ( pocket depth, shaft and head dimensions). 5th grade humor
It’s rarely invoked, but most of the time the real reason is to break the other team’s momentum. I think that’s what Sully was hoping would happen.

 

I suspect the Clemson coaches' over the top actions were a result of their continued post season frustrations and maybe thought this was their year to at least get to Omaha.

After all they were ranked #6, hosting a super vs a team that was barely over ,500. They haven't been to Omaha since 2010 and have never won a NC.

 

Yeah, their fans were pretty confident and cocky before the first Super-Regional game.

 

It was some black stuff on the brim of the pitcher's hat, which the pitcher would touch before every pitch. The umpires looked at it, but the pitcher said, "It ain't nothing," so the umpires said, "Okay."

 

It seemed to me the siren was left playing so the umps had a harder time talking about the review. Meaning it seemed intentional. I was hoping the umps were about to tell the DJ to shut the hell the up for the rest of the game.

 

Yea, but other than all that, why were they upset? Lulz.

 

Whiny baby program acted like whiny babies.

Hope they enjoy life in the big12.

 

If they had any backbone they would’ve done just that.

 

Their enthusiasm felt much more SEC than OK State's did. They tailGATORed, they got happy, they got mad, they got loud, they got onto our players, they respectfully disagreed with the assessment by the umpires (especially in a close game for every call that didn't go their way). They would be a welcome addition...if they could at least cut the music down to every other pitch.

It really has to suck for the Clemson fans.

I get that.

I am not losing any sleep over it.
