I highly doubt that. Somebody’s fandom isn’t any more sincere just because they refrain from criticizing their coach. The people you claim would “gladly see the gators go down in flames” just want competitive football - quite literally the same thing that every fan of every sports team in the world wants. Sorry that they just don’t see Billy being the guy to lead the Gators to such a place.

 

I don’t think someone including Napier being fired on a potential chaos list or on a hot seat list means they are emotionally tied to us losing. It’s just realistic.

The reality is it’s more a compliment that we are still relevant. Imagine if he wants on such a list, that would be embarrassing.

No Gator has some emotional tie to Napier failing. We want to win. If he wins enough to not get fired then that’s awesome. Worst case is a 6 win season where both sides have a strong argument.

 

It is off season…. Should we start another uniform thread… maybe favorite restaurants at away games…

 

It's no different than all of your "what if" scenarios you have been posting. You and the writer of the article are both tying to get people riled up about the up coming season.

Well, it's not like this attitude is unprecedented in the Gator Nation. The other coaches didn't even had two straight losing seasons in their first two years, and they were labelled "the worst EVER!"

As a fan who only wants the best for the Orange and Blue, I certainly understand the desire for positivity, but as a former professional planner and operations officer, I am trained to seek potential problems, even if it turns out they don't exist.

 

No idea what this is supposed to mean. No Gator wants UF to fail.
