West Virginia and Oregon have advanced to Supers. Deciding games today besides Florida/Oklahoma State are North Carolina/LSU, East Carolina/Evansville, Oklahoma/UCONN. Oregon State/ UC Irvine was suspended last night in the 4th with Oregon State ahead 6-4. Irvine has to win to force a deciding game. All the other regionals are over.
Agree. LSU will more than likely win. They are a successful post season team and regardless of what they did early, no one wants to play them now.
Evansville upsets East Carolina to go to the Supers. Oregan State wins their regional. Gators win in Stillwater. The only 2 left are LSU/UNC & Oklahoma/UCONN.
Heels had a chance to blow it open in the first inn and only scored 2. Hope they find a way in extras but advantage LSU as the home team.
Welp its a really good day when LSU loses. Thought they would run into the supers but a great day nonetheless.
LSU losing sounds good to me. I recall a few posters here praising the LSU coaches for their team's big improvement (sec tourney) as compared to UF even tho both had the same conference record. I doubt LSU fans feel like praising their coaches right now.
Super Regional match-ups No. 1 Tennessee vs. Evansville No. 2 Kentucky vs. No. 7 Oregon State No. 3 Texas A&M vs. Oregon No. 4 North Carolina vs. West Virginia No. 6 Clemson vs. Florida No. 8 Florida State vs. UConn No. 9 Georgia vs. No. 15 NC State No. 13 Virginia vs. Kansas State SEC got 11 teams in the tournament, 5 making the Supers. ACC also got 5 in the Supers.
three above were incorrect. It matters because CWS Matchups are triggered off of the original seed If we advance, we would play the A&M/Oregon winner with the rest of the bracket including Kentucky/Oregon State winner and Georgia/NC State winner. Beating Clemson will be tough enough but to have potentially Tennessee, NC and F$U on the other bracket is a good thing. No. 7 Georgia vs. No. 10 NC State No. 12 Virginia vs. Kansas State No. 2 Kentucky vs. No. 15 Oregon State
I don't give a tinker's damn about how many SEC teams are in the Supers or at the CWS. I do care that the SEC schools are all very good, and formed a gauntlet through which our team had to run, and a schedule strength that the NCAA committee appreciated (more than many Gator fans, based on the comments here). Did that SEC gauntlet create a toughness in our team heretofore unrealized? We will see. I hope every other SEC school loses sooner rather than later, preferably in as heartbreaking a manner as is possible.
You're right. I didn't put the numbers by the teams. I copied and pasted this from another site just to show who plays who in the Super Regionals without any thought about match-ups in Omaha. Of course, I know there's no re-seeding.
