Surprise! Sacovie White arrested for reason (and the Rashadas file a lawsuit)

Kirby may have his sites on Napier and the Gators. However, the attorneys for Rashad will go for anyone that lead to taking the Gators down.

 

If Billy was willing to pay $13 mil or if he promised him payments, he needs to go because he isn't very intelligent. It can't be true.

 

Billy wasn’t ever paying anything. To me, it also looks much more likely that he wanted this deal killed.

 

That might be the only reason that a Georgia football player is arrested: driving an orange car!

 

In addition, if there is any evidence that Kirby or UGA influenced Rashada or were involved in any way haul them into court as well.

Since this thread started, there has been much speculation and more information, apparently, this lawsuit was in the works quite a while back.

Hightop sports did a video and had an attorney on and it didn't sound good but wasn't the end of the world. While the lawsuit is a pain and exposes the brave new world of NIL, (parents, players and attorneys) it will also bring positive change in time, one would hope. As ET alluded to, earlier in this thread, discovery can be a good thing. Ya think Rashada on the stand would go well?" I think not. This is a pain for Miami as well.

Connecting Kirby to this is a bit much IMHO. Our old Gainesville Sun writer reamed the Gator faithful for suggesting it as well. The short of his article was basically, GA kills us on the field and recruiting has for a while, why spend anytime on influencing a lawsuit? They are already winning!

My guess this will settle out of court after some discovery exposes various weaknesses in the case. It sucks for us because it's being plastered all over everything. But I'd bet there are many college coaches taking notice because they don't want to be the next victims in the NIL wars...

Correction to your statement. Jaden signed his LOI well after his NIL deal was 'rescinded'. Jaden never enrolled and then a few weeks later he asked for his release. Other than that information, most of what everyone knows is coming from Rashada's camp.

 

I hate it because it’s probably in our best only to settle out of court. All teams were/are doing the same thing which was illegal but now it’s ok. Nothing in writing, text,etc…. Just get the deals done. Of course coaches have say so in their roster and for whatever reason, we( whoever that is) decided we don’t want the kid. What a crap system. It’s the absolute worst in all of sports . Sucks because college football is the last one I follow closely.

 

Most everyone I see and read are saying this will be settled. If this suit was planned long before Rashada got to UGA then ok. Just the timing looked suspicious.

 

I didn’t say he signed before or after the deal was allegedly rescinded, just that he refused to join the team sometime after. He didn’t enroll, which means he never joined the team, semantics.

 

NIL is a total sht show, a cluster beyond belief, but...it's our new system, there is some good, (I think) and Universities, players, attorneys and coaches alike are going to need to refine their skillsets around this new construct, regardless of how awful some of the inherent liabilities are.

So, currently, we have one of the more notable transfers out there in Cormani. UF will be good for his development, and we all quietly pray he'll be good for us as he grows up and matures. Then we have the top ranked Rashada, an early NIL disaster, suing corch Napier. We have another player playing hide and seek on I-75 (at 150 MPH) and running into people...the last time I remember this much discord we were playing for championships. I hope this is all some weird harmonic convergence pointing to a great season.

Winning, will help bury all this off-season noise.

All I know is people should start practicing screaming for the Miami game!!!

Seems so unlikely and doubt the revenue stream was so funded at the time that level of payment could even be considered. Where did that number come from even? No surprise that entity was dissolved.

 

I hope they make those money-grabbing rashadas look like the lowlifes they are
