Down 7-6 at the half, but Florida will be a player up and have the ball to start the 2nd half. Gators usually dominate draw controls, but we're losing that battle so far, giving Northwestern more possessions. Our defense has played really well except for a couple of isolation plays where we got beaten for a couple of easy goals. Refs are allowing more physical play than normal and that's resulting in a lot of turnovers. Gators arer playing hard and overall very well. I wonder if they'll try face guarding Izzy Scane like they did on Maggie Hall much of the first half?
Very physical, exciting match. 10-9 after 3, with Northwestern starting the 4th a player up and with the ball. Emily Heller had to be carried off a while ago with an apparent ankle injury. Gators really staying strong - they just can't take the lead.
I lmpw 0 abpit lacross, but rooting my ass off here in Charlotte with a group of enthusiats and they were rooting mostly for NW at the beginning of the game. But now most are rooting for us, feel like we are getting shafted with the play the way it is today. I have not a clue..just happy we are close. Everyone here said we would lose by 7 to 10 goals before it started. I wish I know more then just shooting and scoring, but always great to cheer on the Gators
I just checked into a hotel in Raleigh, and apparently this is the Northwestern team hotel. As we're playing then a few miles away...
Son in law played for JU on scholly. I had never watched Lax before, but it is very much like hockey.
I'm really surprised at the draw control difference. Didn't see that coming. It's the story of the game.
What is her reaction to the officiating? I have only been able to watch a tad bit of the game---so no real opinion of how the refs are doing.
