I dunno folks, a bunch of the Gator media and Podcaster set seem to think an experienced reciever opposite Wilson is a very important piece for UF to fill. One would hope that our "younguns" will pop. Hope Andy Jean makes a move. Anyway, Napier has been on a recent roll. I also tend to think Florida Victorious may be stepping up lately. Like Rick said, the Bobby Wade situation is a major concern. Lets hope Friday brings good news.
Let me put it this way: Id much rather hope that a receiver pops as a luxury for the 3rd spot giving us yet another weapon than hope someone pops out of necessity so our offense stops stalling because Wilson is double teamed and there's nobody to direct attention away
I think with today’s creative financing, there’s not really a reason to push a kid that’s going to be a contributor out. Now if he’s just burning a scholarship, we all know what happens there.
This looks like good news... If we land Badger we will instantly upgrade our receivers room. It looks like the insiders on 24/7 got the "silent" treatment, scoop, 411, on his next move. https://247sports.com/playerinstitu...255244/currenttransferinstitutionpredictions/
Something came down the behind the scenes news pipeline to make 3 writers log predictions within 20 minutes of each other including an AZ writer
I want to see him thrive, but considering CBN doesn't use a lot of 4 or 5 wide, the pickup of Dike and Badger would mean a lack of confidence in how much KJ, Mizell, Jean and Fraziars are expected to contribute to winning ball. CBN is not a big believer in one year portals, so he sees a severe need.
Wilson, Jackson and Badger if we land him... but I do wish we'd add the 10 and 00 personnel to our offensive set-piece schemes. That would be a nice addition to our offense.
I would like to see more too if our receivers can get open and our OL can pass block. Dike was running with the starters in spring and has a LOT more experience than Jackson, so I expect Dike is going to be the starter unless Jackson makes a big jump in fall camp. He was not all Big Ten but Dike was a very good starter at WI.
If the OL is even just solid, this could end up be the best offense UF has seen in what, 15 years?! I mean the bar is set pretty low.
That could be true, but we have not seen Napier with an over abundance of wide receivers that might lead him to put four wide multiple times a game
That will be an interesting battle for the starting position indeed. But as I have said before maybe we can get more receivers open if we run with more receiver personnel sets. Maybe add a 10 personnel to our offensive repertoire.
