This is not correct. The KPI has just been released for today: Faktor (faktorsports.com) As I predicted before the conference tournament started, the top 8 based on a season worth of performances has already been inked. To do otherwise cheapens the importance of the regular season. Everybody else is playing for seeds 9-16. Two teams have played like they know they are already in the top 8: BYU 7 Oklahoma State 2 LSU 2 Tennessee 1 Think either of these teams are worried about being a top 8 seed? I don't. My disappointment is the Gators didn't get a chance to play the vols before the WCWS. My hope is UF shows up loose, plays well, and wins the tournament. Other scores of interest outside of the SEC: Oklahoma 10 Kansas 1 Texas 13 Texas Tech 4 Duke 9 Boston College 0 Florida State 7 Notre Dame 0 Stanford 4 California 2 UCLA 6 Arizona State 0 Arizona 11 Washington 3
Thanks for pointing out my typo mistake about the KPI ranking for LSU. I went back and fixed my post. LSU was NEVER ranked that high in KPI. Before the Tennessee game, they were ranked #9 and are still at #9. We shall see Sunday night if your assuredness that the Top 8 seeds are already set is true. No doubt about Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, UCLA and Duke being there, IMO. Just not sure Stanford and Florida are definite for the Top 8. LSU's RPI & SOS make a compelling case.
So, if you are 50 miles from Auburn, why are you at your computer and not at the tournament!! More importantly, I was promised a 10AM start, and for some reason there are players on my TV screen wearing gray/white and red. I want to see orange/blue.
Erickson completed the trifecta as she was also named to the SEC All-Defensive Team and she is the first player in program history to be earn all three awards since Kelsey Stewart in 2015 and she's the first UF catcher to earn SEC All-Defensive honors since Janell Wheaton in 2018. Kendra Falby also made her debut appearance on the SEC All-Defensive Team as she has excited fans since her arrival as a freshman. This season Falby has three outfield assists, which includes turning a pair of game-ending double plays from her center field position against UCLA and Florida State. LSU at 12-12 in the SEC, swept by UTn, lost 2 of 3 to UF, and the 8 seed in the SEC tourney is more compelling for not being a top 8 seed. Besides, UF is 7 in the KPI and UCLA is 8. Since you see 8 UCLA getting in, how do you not see UF and Stanford? UCLA didn't play a full season of games or a full season of PAC 12 games.
You are so sure of yourself, let's just see how it works out Sunday night, huh? You may be right, but you act like you KNOW, when nobody does at this point.
Yes, I'm confident, have to be for the nervous nellies. I'll agree to shutdown talk about who gets in untill after the SEC tourney if you and others also agree. It's just 2 days. Deal?
So we are playing for the tournament run, not one win for SEC rankings -- apparently Brown to start. ========Update That didn't age well. Never believe TV.
