I like Nick, and I will continue to listen to his analysis. However, from now on, I am especially wary of opinions. WTH, he deliberately chose to ignore his sources? That makes no sense, eh?
What holding calls on George and what bullrush issues for Westphal? Do you have a game time stamp, or game time reference, for those issues? Edit: Here's an O&B clip. Where are the issues you mentioned?
That Makes a lot of sense. To be critical of George at OG and the improved OT play seems to be based on agenda.
Nick's apparently latched on to the in-house grinch role and isn't budging anytime soon. After all, if sources connected to the program are to be ignored and opinions formed in a vacuum are just fine, why not go for the easy-out of spinning imaginary narratives? Apparently, drawing on actual information from relevant sources for the sake of forming carefully considered analysis is a lot like actual work.
My goodness some of you people are insufferable. A beat reporter says he won't believe something until he sees it gets twisted into an "agenda" or "imaginary narratives." If he had an agenda or was making stuff up he wouldn't have said he has heard good things. He is being forthright about disregarding what he has heard and has taken a completely reasonable stance of needing to see it on the field. I'm sure if the situation was reversed all of you would be saying the sources are full of shit.
Honestly, I haven't been able to take anything from the OB game for decades. I went to just be in the swamp with my wife and son. Every time I try to make something of the OB game, it is 180. I really think joey has the right idea.
I compare units to great teams of our past. I just don’t see anyone on OL cracking 2 deep on SOS/Urban teams. Maybe that’s just me.
Without that TD run against UT, we lose that game. And BN made sure he never came close to "putting the team on his back" as he preferred to play his boy "no vision" Montrell.
Would like to think staff intentionally did not display the full offense. Vanilla but effective enough for a Spring game.
